Meanwhile, Danny Royer has been here since 2016 and still takes up an international spot.

Atlanta announced today that Barco, Remedi, and Escobar have all gotten green cards.
Perhaps they worked at Home Depot in the off-season.

Yup inexcusable.

It is possible that the players do not want a green card. Assuming you want to try to live in the United States when you retire, if you get a green card then subsequently move to another country, it may actually make it harder to ever live in the United States in the future. Being a green card holder could also conceivably cost you a lot more in taxes in certain circumstances like foreign earned income.
You can't just get a green card for someone who does not want one.

How much is Royer earning in foreign income?

Two Miami players get green cards despite being on loan in Argentina for the last 6 months and Miami having never played a game.
Don't tell me we can't do better.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

You'd think the league would have resources for this. Seems like the sort of thing that would benefit from aggregation of demand and skills..
