If we're going to get a song on the PA or big screen, we should probably pick a song like Hot Time.

The team has asked us if they can help get the crowd involved by putting words up on the big screen/led board. Klopas has also asked the section do a 'song' to welcome out the team. I'm just putting that option out there for this instance...What if we did it pre-game that way so everyone learns the words then, and we can repeat it later during the game?

Ok, flame me.

maybe we could just sing a song about chicago or the fire instead of a song about a town in lancashire?

"If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing."

"I don't approve of your methods."
"Yeah, well... you're not from Chicago."

If you want to head up dealing with the FO and the Capos on this (if we want to do something), I'd be all for it. I'm not up on the stand and nor's anyone on the ISA, so it'd be good to have someone leading chants involved.

Again:
If people want to learn them in KC, swing by my office sometime this week and I can give you sheets with the lyrics on them.

They should play Sweet Home Chicago after matches instead of fucking *NSYNC and whatever other crap they play.

I interned in the FO for a little while and trust me they are so dumb had they payed off the refs they probably would have presented them one of those huge checks during halftime on the field.

Chow - Hot time sucks ass and even when we sing it loud as we can it sounds like shit. If the fire put that nursery school bullshit on the PA I will boo & heckle it every time. We've had ten years of kiddie marketing from the FO, let's not encourage them.

Joga - Very true.

Ditch the PA and big screen idea.
It's already an issue and it would mean picking one song above another.

(Hot Time is a terrible, terrible song. Just sayin'.)

That's not really on topic but it sounds like a good idea.

Tom - Your idea about doing it to "welcome" the team is a great start. It means I'll actually have to stop drinking in the lot and go inside, I suppose, but so be it. Mac, if you can disseminate some Dirty Old Town love on the bus that would be awesome.

If any capos know it and are willing to get on board on the first floor, speak up and we'll sort it out so you've got 20 people singing it with you right off the bat, in the middle of the section.

I'll not be deterred by the naysayers! This will not be derailed by nursery rhymes! By hook or by crook I'll make D.O.T. the goddamn Chicago Fire fucking anthem!

Went and listened to the song again...hope to god we are going to try and keep it at the pace the song is played and not speed it up like we seem to do with every other chant/song we bring in.
