I highly doubt this happens. I think theres more of a likely hood they buy a team in the lower leagues(not too low tho) and bring them up. Like a Leyton Orient or some bullshit. ALl the premier league clubs are way too established not only in England but globally to sell off and make them disappear. Its one thing to destroy the history of relatively unknown clubs like Salsburg and MetroStars where theres only a few thousand people to really deal with. If they get rid of any EPL club in england they will be seen as villains by the whole world. Its a PR nightmare. Actually I hope they do it so people start to rise against them.

Red Bull are already villains across Europe, Salzburg and Leipzig being the two most hated clubs in their domestic set-up.

Right but those were small potatoes when you compare it to an EPL club who are better known. Specially Leipzig. And the English press will make a bigger deal about it than any Austrian or German paper cared to. I think if they do this, it will be a case where theyve just gone too far. Its much better and in a way easier to go for another small club in the lower leagues. They have enough money where in 5 years they could be up in the EPL and not have to deal with the negative backlash or at least make it a manageable one.
