The offense wasn't the problem.

They ended up in the game by that time anyway but the offense was definitely a problem when you can't even score a man up for about 36 minutes.

A) we never do well a man up.  I'm not a "that's so Metro" guy, but seriously... TSM.

2) the offense actually looked worse after he brought on Kaku and Royer, but NE brought on an extra  defender and went full bunker mode as soon as they went down a man.

You score 2 and get awarded a PK, that always ought to be enough offense to win.

The offense wasn't the problem.

It was once we were a man up and created zero chances in 30 minutes.

"that's so Metro" ... TSM.

I will have to remember this acronym.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

This is my main takeaway from last nights game. We mentally collapsed and couldn't close it out.

Also Casseres should be in the starting 11, can't argue that.

it was all there for the taking. they just couldn't put the knife deeper and finish them off.

Casseres should have been a starter months ago.

Over Rza or Davis?

When Muyl placed the ball on the penalty spot and then stood over it, I had a terrible feeling about everything that was about to happen next. That should've been Barlow's. Failed PKs, like blown leads, can really hurt a team's psyche.

Over Rza or Davis?

Rza for sure. He's been a possession black hole lately, I like him better as an attacking sub.

Over Rza or Davis?

ABSOLUTELY over Rzatkowski. Guy has been a cheap turnover machine all season and for whatever reason plays WORSE when Kaku is out there with him.

And listen I like Davis but he hasnt been great at the 6 and Ive always said hes a pure 8.

If Armas would play CCJ as the lone 6 with Kaku and Davis that would solve some problems. And if he would play Muyl at leftback starting yesterday that would ALSO solve some problems.

I am 99% certain that if Muyl were to transition to outside back then everything we as fans rail on him for would magically go away. And everything we as fans DO like about him would be become exponentially more super duper awesome.

Muyl is such an obvious attacker to wingback conversion that it hurts me to think we haven't done it more consistently yet

I don't think we can consistently do it until 1) Murillo is sold and 2) we sign another CB.

I doubt Muyl can play as a pure RB, so it needs to be a back 5, and he's not better than Murillo as either a RB or RWB.

It's a good idea though.

Apparently, Barlow does not have a stellar record with PKs.   But yeah, we all knew he would miss.

Im absolutely certain he would be a defensive upgrade over Murillo.

Murillo is literally good to give up 2-3 big chances per game. Its infuriating.
