Yostin Salinas and Omar Valencia were not included in the "Thank You" emails but have apparently also left the club.
Gone: Stiven Plaza, Jordan Adebayo-Smith, Derrek Chan, Juan Castillo, Daniel De Leon, draft picks Lamine Conte and Giannis Nikopolidis, and academy alumni John Murphy Jr., Michael Knapp, and Jonathan Filipe

Team released all the pro players with the exception of O'Vonte Mullings and Henry Wise.

What a waste last season was in every possible sense. Well, maybe Mullings can work out down the line.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

does anyone have a sense on how MLS pro teams operated from a squad signing standpoint (mainly academy and college or were coaches aggressive using those international slots)? Since there is no minimum salary there RB could wanted to act like they do in europe and take more low transfer fee / high potential international gambles and see who sinks or floats in the second team.

We should have Ugandan and east African flyers considering the connection

7 International Player Slots (can be traded).
Maximum of 5 Academy Players allowed on the field at the same time.
11 roster spots total for Academy Players.
No active college players allowed due to professional and Academy agreements with NCAA eligibility.
Must have a minimum of 9 of the 35 eligible players signed to Next Pro professional contracts (this rule may go away for 2023).

Syracuse vs. Indiana in the final. With academy players on many of the best teams, none make it to the final in the knockout stages, which is helping set them up for things to come with the MLS team.

I was thinking about the academy level notable players and after some digging when/why did Jeremiah White move to Philly, did he just want to get closer to home?

A few notable players made moves this year: Philly (White/Davis) and New England (Widman).I was thinking about the academy level notable players and after some digging when/why did Jeremiah White move to Philly, did he just want to get closer to home?
White is still pretty young so the back and forth may have been taking a toll, but that's just an assumption. Eric may know the reason(s).
With Widman, My understanding is that he (and family) showed frustration that he wasn't getting more time with NYRBII and played about a half dozen players out of place in his position. At 17, it was probably best to try somewhere else if not getting the looks in favor of other younger kids that didn't play CAM.

wideman not really a pro prospect imo and we dont have a u-19 team New England still does. Hes going Ivy for college and thats probably the right level. White is from phillys hg territory which was going be problematic and constantly commuting to New Jersey was becoming a lot. Im not as high on him as others think he never stepped up against higher level opposition and his best position is really unclear.A few notable players made moves this year: Philly (White/Davis) and New England (Widman).
