Sims couldnt score in a whorehouse while cash-cannoning Ivan money.

I feel the same.. but going to be positive. Maybe he will develop into something he clearly isnt.

But Sims is a fringe EPL player who couldn't make it on an EPL team and he is garbage.  ok

Im not calling sims garbage. He just cant score.

Im not mad they didnt sign young players Im mad they didnt sign any players. We lost 2 class players and got no replacements.

Is he training with the team yet?

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

His play for us during his last loan was good but not great or outstanding. I'm glad that he came back. He now has to  show his ability to make great passes into the box, to make good crosses  and  score over the 1st  half of he season on a consistent basis.  If can do this then he will  proved that he must be needed on the first team.

I expect any young player who was getting starts in the Prem to come to MLS and be more productive here than he was there.

So do I. If we get a guy like that, let me know.

If he makes the 18 in the first game, hes already more productive.

His last loan stint in the Championship, he was also glued to the bench.

Of course, Ill be rooting for him to do well.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. This is totally true but another stat is he has 51 pro appearances and 1 goal.

For a CB that would be iffy and we're talking about our difference maker RW.

Also just pointing out how despite both those stats being true they don't paint an accurate picture.

The expectations would be what 15/20 goals + assists this season.

I hope that everyone is, despite our endemic pessimism.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Of course we want the team to do more but keep this in mind: The fact that we were running away with that game in Chester untill he got hurt and then everything went straight to hell wasn't a coincidence.

Then Kaku too... We were never winning MLS Cup last year but I fully believe we at least leave Philly with the W if those two don't get hurt.

There a difference between reading a press release, article, stat sheet and actually watching games. Heres the reality.....Sims started 3 Premier League games and 5 games in the Championship inn his life. Hell be 23 in a month and a half. He also couldnt make the bench for a Saints team that has been putrid most of the season. (Yes, they got really hot in the past month, taking 16 points from 7 games. Much better than the 15 points they got in their first 17 games).

Heres the reality......he came up on one of the most highly regarded youth systems in England. Hes both fast and quick. He got a crack with the first team at a young age, mostly playing the last 15 minutes of games.

They realized he wants good enough for the Premirship and loaned him to the Championship. He didnt have a good experience there and wound up not playing much.

Now, none of that means he wont be a good player at the MLS level. There are plenty of pretty good MLS players who arent Premirship quality. Its no shame not to breakthrough in England at his age. Ill be hoping he does really well for us.

One observation I have from watching him in MLS and abroad, Id that once he gets into the opposing teams box, he gets nervous and has a 10-grader qualities.

If folks liked things about Muyl but didnt think he could create enough goals and assists to make an impact at the MLS level........Im not sure how much more Sims will produce. It would be a surprise if he reached double digits in goals or assists.

I do think hes a player. Ill be rooting for him to find his grove for us and be a really good player.

Based on last year's limited sample size, I'd take Sims over muyl 900 times out of 10. Plus he's already a known quantity so there isn't the risk of signing an unknown talent at right mid who may or may not work out.
