Roxburgh said that the team continues to talk with the World Cup winner but no announcement has been made yet.

“No idea about that idea. We're still discussing with him about that situation,” Roxburgh told BigAppleSoccer.com on Monday. “We're too busy right now. We're on twice a week, it is high intensity. We're desperately trying to keep the show on the road.”

“We've talked with him on a number of occasions. We're all of the mind to leave that till after the season.”

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

He still has some left in the tank and it would be cool to see him lead the team against NYCFC next year.

"We're still discussing with him about that situation".

BSfish translation:  "If he wants to come back then he's going to have to take a s**tload less money".

"The company loves its money.

If they could, they'd go to strip clubs and throw naked women at money."

Why would Henry want to come back for another year at this joke of an organization?

seriously .  nothing good can come from TH making an announcement mid season.  it would be a distraction on the field and it won't be good for business.

the glass half full side of me thinks that maybe he's holding out to see the team's plan for next year but my rational pessimistic side says he's out of here and we'll turn into chicago fire east

5 year plan

TH14 coming back would be an sad end to a great career. You didn't want to see Joe Namath on the Rams, you didn't want to see Patrick Ewing on the Sonics.

We nearly saw Derek Jeter on the Padres, and that would've been some sad shit too.

So, you don't want TH14 on this team next year, missing the playoffs and watching this thing atrophy in front of us while RB decides what to do while not spending money. He's had a great career. Go out with your head held high. If he wants to play another year, honestly, play it at Arsenal as a super sub and club ambassador. Don't disgrace a wonderful legacy by being the only bright light on a team full of rebuilding question marks.

Remember the last year of Gretzky on the Rangers, doing no-look passes to Manny Malhotra who was busy skating in the wrong direction? Yeah, no thanks.

Henry should go to Austria and tell RB that he would come back if they spent money to actually help him.

Right now i'm taking any statements from the team that go something like

"We're looking at a number of options...." or

"We're having discussions..." or

"We're close to finalizing..."

as

"This is not going to happen"

Henry's going out on top, this year, after willing this flawed team to our first Cup.

At least our fans are funny.

It's not that crazy.  If we make the playoffs, nobody wants to play this team.

 Our history says otherwise.
