#1345862 What is the front office doing?

Posted by cBr on 10 May 2019 - 07:29 AM

Even if the academy pumps out a tyler adams every other year it will make very little difference in the long run bc we wont have the new phenom play with the existing young phenom bc the first guy would have been sold already.

The fact that this team did nothing to replace Adams at that CM spot shows you that winning  isnt at the top of their priority list.

Ppl bring up that this is a very similar team that won the SS last year.  But lets not forget that most of our opponents FOs didnt sit on their hands this offseason and last summer window. Last summers big signings like Ibra and Rooney have settled and are paying dividends.

#1345302 RBNY will not sign Messi

Posted by cBr on 02 May 2019 - 06:29 AM

Reports out of Spain are saying its a done deal and Messi will be here July 1.

Ives saying that its a non DP deal and that he will be a GAM/TAM player.

Further proof that you can actually built a championship level team without splashing major cash

Now if someone can give me a hand removing this tarp

#1344575 Thierry Henry linked to RB coaching role

Posted by cBr on 18 April 2019 - 06:57 AM

Youd assume Hamlett would give armas the benefit of a he doubt since they go way back.  This seems like Austrias call

The main issue here is that other teams got better while we did nothing this offseason and lost Adams to boot.

My hope is that when Henry calls the FO asking for an upgrade to the roster help theyd listen and respect his opinion.

#1344216 More teams are eager to spend money

Posted by cBr on 14 April 2019 - 12:43 PM

With these new stadiums popping up like MN United,DC Etc....More teams will be added to the list of clubs eager to spend money to add to the seattles, tfcs, lafcs, galaxy etc.

You could probably even add Chicago to that list once they move back to Soldier Field. You can bet that Atlanta and Miami will obviously take that side too.

The next CBA vote may swing in favor of the teams that want to spend more this time giving them an extra mechanism to bolster their roster. (Who knows that that would be)

Meanwhile were tarping off sections and selling top level talent without trying to replace them

Other teams have gone out and made improvements while we sat on our hands and did nothing.

Losing the leagues best 2 way mid didnt help either

This was inevitable

#1343424 Apathetic and fractured fanbase

Posted by cBr on 24 March 2019 - 11:12 AM

RBs email blast from last week was showcasing Nani as the main attraction

The fact is ppl with a semi open mind who are on the fence about comming to a game need a few stars to come out

Im not saying sign every big name thats on his decline but these types of players need to be incorperated into the team.

Outside of the big 6-10 champions league teams out there sign these types of players.

Even with an Rooney and Ibra on this squad we still wont come close to the levels these newer markets like Portland attained but well be more relevant

Antonio Valencia reportedly on his way out at Man U this summer.  33 years old, but when healthy plays with the motor of a 23 year old. Put him in his natural right winger position - definitely an upgrade over Muyl.
A man can dream right?

Sure fire difference maker. Would never happen with our current business model

Imagine having a guy like Darwin Quintero on the wing.

This team is seriously one player like that away from absolutly striking fear in the whole league.

Ita Aug 2nd and we havent heard any rumblings. I guess this is the team were going with

#1330807 Watching Etienne wiff chance after chance

Posted by cBr on 30 July 2018 - 06:37 AM

Secondary transfer window and trade deadline involving players ends Aug 8th.

Just for shits and giggles...clint dempsey for a high priced half year rental would be very interesting.

All signs point to this being his last year with Seattle. Good insurance policy up top if the unspeakable happens and potential super sub.

Watching Etienne wiff chance after chance has me thinking crazy thoughts.

KC is a tough tough gritty team. Vermes should be on the usmnt coaching candidate list.

Rza did a fantastic job when he was put intk that #10 role. Not just the goals but he had some killer over the top passes as well.

etrinne reminds me of many MLS 1.0 players of yester year with that finishing

Why are ppl getting pissed about the top dollar thing?

As long as we recieve the max allowable allocation money im fine with it

They play young players. I like the idea of them loaning him out to Salzburg to get his feet wet.  The bundesliga is a hell of a league.

Him moving was going to happen sooner than later. A better move than the Chelseas of the world.

We need to deal with it

I always said that there are certian older players that you need to make exceptions for in this new MLS era. Ibra is one of them of course.

Ribery is another exception IMO. The guy has been lights out since the 2006 world cup consistently playing for a top 5 club in the world.
