This is like the Europa league of concacaf but only USA vs Mexico lol

I won't lie and I say I won't go but I'm curious to see if season ticket holders get free tickets.

Worst part not that we'll make it lol.... the Leagues Cup Final, will be played in a neutral US-based venue to be announced.

Probably end up being Vegas if I had to guess lol

Yep. I looked at the schedule and all of these dates are midweeks sandwiched in between 2 MLS games for us. Not ideal. This tournament is a complete, blatant cash grab in order to sell tickets to Liga MX fans who live in the United States.

My ideas to fix the tournament would be the following:

- Treat it as the "Europa League" of Concacaf

- Best non-CCL teams qualify (from MLS and Liga MX)

- Winner gets a CCL birth

- Home and Away Legs (or a 1 game knockout with a random draw for home team)

Also since they are the 8th seed they would have to go on the road if they end up playing any of the MLS teams. I don't see myself traveling for this. Would much rather focus on the Open Cup so we can actually get a champions league spot.

Hahahah no shot it's included with STH. That would defeat the entire purpose of the tournament.

Could not care less about this and Ill never watch a second of it.

Very stupid idea and I cant wait for it to die.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. So...the existing Concacaf League, just with MLS and Liga MX teams added.

Another meaningless money grab that makes it harder to focus on winning real hardware.

Ill embrace any opportunity to win a cup. Especially if we got no shot at supporters or mls cup. Cant throw away an entire season, right?

Ill sure we were all in to watch us beat down some euro teams in the emirates cup. We watch cash grab friendlies. I see no reason not to watch this.

I don't mind having this tournament exist as a Concacaf version of the europa league. Allows more teams to feel what it's like to deal with multiple competitions which we should do if we wanna MLS to progress. Unfortunately we just know that MLS teams won't take it that seriously.
