This was a great season for Kobe haters, Kobe haters UNITE!!!

Great Finish for us, yes...great season? No. That would have involved something like a plate glass truck and a double amputation in October 07.

I know I was rather disappointed at this season's off-court hijinks brought on by our local rapist at large....I wanted to see less triple-doubles and more forced penetration out of Kobe but oh well.

I did see a trashcan full of these at halftime outside the local "sports-bar" though

watch out for next year...although i agree on Lamar Odom. if i learned one thing this Finals it's that while KG had his detractors for not showing up when it counts...Odom doesn't show up when he's playing against an average defender.

it's gotta be a mental thing. he has the skill-set to take anybody to the hole, but he can't finish consistently. he can shoot from anywhere on the court...unless its not a 30 point blowout. he can play great help defense, if there's a stalwart defender in the middle.

all this sums up to Odom being a better than average role player. he'd probably make the best 6th man in the league by far...until it mattered.

Odom won me over during the year...just as i started to give up hope & then he went & played like he did during the finals. of note, the only good game he had was game 5 as the Celtics were forced to have a lethargic PJ Brown try to deal with Lamar. when Pierce went back on him in game 6...DONE!

anywho...i'm back again starting the "tradeLamarforJoshSmith.com" funds if anybody wants to join me. him or the Matrix would fit perfectly...but i prefer Josh as he is younger & a better 3 point shooter believe it or not. oh, & he plays SPLENDIFOROUS DEFENSE...

ALL THE TIME!!!

anywho...getting Bynum back healthy next year essentially equates to getting an all-star caliber free agent for free & Ariza will be better next year. same can be said for Pau, Farmar, Sasha & Turiaf. these are the guys we need to keep...Mihm is gone along with Mbenga (possibly...they actually really like him) & possibly Odom. the question is...can we somehow unload Vlade? i think not...but then again...we traded Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol

Congrats (vomit spewing from nostrils) to the KELTICS, KG & Pierce...i hate Ray Allen so he can suck a fatty & i hope Kendrick Perkins slips on a rump-roast & lands on his 12 foot frying pan he uses to cook breakfast each morning...FATASS!!!

it only makes the revenge that much sweeter.

& i agree with somebody earlier...i've been pointing out to Laker faithful all-day at work (faithfull...not bandwagoners cuz they wouldn't recall anyways) that Magic had to lose to Boston in '84 in order to become ice-cold in '85 & '87.

great season though for the NBA...really good stuff...

now if they can only fix the officiating.................

Yeah, this was merely adequate. '04 remains the all-time best in my book.
