I amused myself making fun of LARS on Stopper's Freezer sale thread before, so I thought I'd open myself up for same.

I suggest using this thread as a place to offer anything for your fellow LARS.
I also suggest replies be made only by PM to keep it organized.

Just a suggestion, but do wutchyalike.

I'll start. See below.

I have a service to offer:
Without mentioning any names, I work in the Parts & Service Division of a well known Japanese automaker[Posted Image].
I have been asked several times by LARS members whether or not I can get them a discount.
I can.
Eight lucky people a year can buy a new car at a good discount.
For 2007, I've already used up 6 of those slots, and 2008 is right around the corner. Unfortunately, I get bupkus for doing this.

Here's how the pricing works:

Dealer invoice
Minus VPP discount (Nissan 2.87% : Infiniti 1.65%)
Plus dealer added options, Security Plus, Infiniti Extended Protection Plan, etc.
Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
Plus destination and handling charge
Minus applicable incentives
Equals participant's purchase price

This isn't an endorsement, but I did it for KC Chief's and former Cal Tight End Tony Gonzalez's cousin, who was my wife's co-worker's brother-in-law...I'll be glad to do it for a fellow LARSer rather than usual wife's coworker's brother's friend.

PM me if you want it.

I have a very close connection to a catering company.

If LARS ever has a pre-season meeting/barbeque I can provide sandwiches and other cold cult treats for cheap.

I'm talking 50-75% off the total bill.

Great idea of this thread Buck, even though must of the members here are classified under the "scavengers and cheepo's" category.

If anyone's ever at the Antelope Valley Mall, drop by the Dairy Queen/Orange Julius and I might just give you some ice cream or a Julius. But what would anyone be doing in the Antelope Valley right?

For those ever shopping at Albertsons, when they ask for your Albertsons preferred card, ask to type in a phone number. When typing in a number, use my store director's number, 714 740 2660 and you should get 5 percent off your entire order

Unfortunately it doesn't work on adult beverages or dairy products or cigarettes, but everything else it works for

Kinda in the same boat unless someone has (or is) a high-school age student struggling with history, civics or economics.
