Hamlett "a little closer [than Schneider] to first team on a daily basis". Great news!

Points out that winning 3 shields is a success. [YEAH BUT THAT WAS FIVE YEARS AGO!]

I ask a question, but it gets butchered. Nothing about Struber's quote, investment or indifference makes it to Schneider.

Gerhard Struber recently said that RBNY is not "LAFC with a lot of investment". The team has one of the lowest payrolls in MLS. How do you respond to fans who see this as Red Bull's indifference about the fate of the club?

"We will try to strengthen its quality in the next transfer window."

Oh god he compares RBNY to the 1980 US Olympic hockey team.

"I will not rule out signing one or two experienced players in the future." Mentioned an older Mexican he signed at Stuttgart.

So basically our roster is good enough to compete, because in MLS, every team is pretty close to begin with. (That's why signing a difference maker... WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE!)

Lots of fans would appreciate you holding his feet to the fire in his first presser, but surely you didn't expect him to validate the opinion you put forth or promise any level of spending months ahead of the next window. Gotta figure 99% of GMs would have answered the same.

I'm not surprised to see that he will carry on similar to Thelwell, but am at least somewhat encouraged he doesn't have a hard rule about not signing vets. I guess that's something to take from it.

These pressers are so hard to elicit real responses from, appreciate you guys who gave it a go. I'm not surprised to see that he will carry on similar to Thelwell, but am at least somewhat encouraged he doesn't have a hard rule about not signing vets. I guess that's something to take from it.

Well, that's the question I asked, but how it was relayed to Schneider was basically about the inactivity of the transfer window. Nothing about Struber, LAFC comparison, payroll, or Red Bull indifference made it.
