I didn't mind the changes Armas made to Kaku's role last season taking him further from goal and having him distribute from deep, since overall the team was still scoring plenty. But now I'm wondering if Kaku is resentful for it since it was such a huge reason his numbers tanked.

Pure conjecture on my part but maybe he sees Armas as hurting his chances at a future transfer by not letting him be "the man" making things happen close to goal? It's tough to deny the guy looks checked out right now.

seriously, performance from Kaku has been night and day, baffling.

*New theory*
Think Kaku regressed once Armas came in. Think also the reason why he's been low key bitching. Don't think Kaku was Armas' guy so they have had problems internally. Could be why his play has dipped since last year since Marcsh left. Coincidence ? Maybe but this is Metro so anything is possible.

yeah, Marsch let him eat and the numbers showed, lotsa insightful passes and a dozen assists early and led the league at one point. maybe him not being Armas' guy and the role change has contributed to his sulking.
