No Fire matches announced yet though I'd lay some cash down we'll be playing Toronto on the 12th of May. Toronto seems to be taking a page from the Toyota Park playbook by having two openers...

Think Torontonians will bitch about that 87.7% as much as some of you did?

Sorry Kenn, but if it's announced already then it's not a comparable situation.

Nevermind, we open at home the first weekend against the Revs at 7.30p. We should get to planning a nice display for the home opener. Maybe a huge middle finger to greet the revs...
Make that a middle finger with a RING on it...

Actually, it wasn't announced. I have friends up there with season tix and that was news to them. Also, other friends and I bought a special package that TFC was offering, I'll paste it in and let you decided WHICH opener you think we bought...we are still trying to find out...I bought it for the grand opening, never thought another team would try that public safety BS...

Toronto FC
// ALL for ONE
I'm not really in the business of "helping" other teams...but I got this email today and wouldn't mind seeing it happen:
Please sign this petition to help MLS realise that scheduling the first ever game of Toronto FC in Califiornia and thus preventing fans from attending their new teams' inaugural game is madness.
Please help us convince MLS that a game against the Chicago Fire, NY Red Bulls or Columbus Crew would make much sense and at the same time allow fans to make the trip without an unreasonable expense.
I appreciate you signing this and spreading the word.

Apparently, yes.

Wouldn't ANY game announcement be news since no schedule has been released?

I just meant news about there being a soft opener and a grand opening game...
Although, as with us, the important thing is that have their own stadium...
