oy, tito bashed the old man's face in. ref stopped the fight before a minute and a half even passed. some say it was stopped early, but shamrock wouldn't have gotten out of there with anything more than mush for a face if the fight went on.

there were clips all up on youtube, but i think they got taken down because of copyright violation.

Matt my lawyers and representatives tell me I can make no official comment on any pending fights at the moment. But I can give you this hint: If you're hoping to see a Sec. 8'er step into the ring with the Huntington Beach Bad Boy, you'll be in luck soon.

ps - L97Kid : Peter Wilt watched the fight at a bar in Chicago. He might have some insight. But it barely lasted 1:30 before Tito had Shamrock on the ground and hit him with five consecutive elbows to the face.

The elbows weren't "knockout power" elbows, so I can see the argument that the fight stopped too soon. But if you watch the replays, Shamrock was not defending his head and didn't seem capable of raising even one hand to defend his face. So after five straight shots, the ref called the fight. If I recall, I think the ref. was Mario Yamasaki.

Good damn question. I went out of town when this went down. I really wanted to see it too. I am so glad Tito put the beatdown on Shamrock. I gotta find a place to see it.

Yeah it was pretty nuts when it happened. We skipped the final three minutes of a Fire game at B'view to get downtown to a bar that was showing the fight.

Yamaski has been involved in a lot of matches that I believe he stopped too soon. So when I heard he was the ref for this one, I was concerned about early stoppage.

And sure enough, as soon as he called the fight, Ken Shamrock stood up and was like "WTF bro??? I can still fight."

But then you go back and look at the replay. And Tito just keeps drilling him in the head and he's not doing anything to stop it. And it doesn't look like he's even capable of stopping Tito's elbows. So Shamrock still had energy because Yamasaki stopped the fight. But if Yamasaki didn't stop the fight, Tito could have easily landed 12 more elbows to the face. And then Ken would have had trouble standing up and being like "let's keep fighting." So yeah, a good stopppage in my humblest of opinions.

shamrock was getting his fucking face bashed in and couldn't do shit about it.

shamrock may be the man but he's old as hell. he was the man, and then he turned into a WWF superstar, at that point his "the man" status was revoked.

So you never bought into the Ken Shamrock vs. "The Badass" Billy Gunn storyline? You remember when Ken Shamrock's sister did some cameo appearances as Billy Gunn's "escort" in like 1999? That pissed Shamrock off so much that he broke Gunn's ankle with his patented ankle-lock submission hold (and yes, we all know Kurt Angle stole that move in 2002).

But then, Shamrock's hot sister started dating wrestler/retired porn star Val Venis when Venis was the European champion.

Of course that was before the bizarro feud between Venis and that one Japanese wrestling tag team with Tanaki. You know, the feud where Venis kept showing up in the ring and spraying people with a giant pink squirt gun filled with "unidentified white liquid." Meanwhile Jerry and the King at the announcer table would be screaming "Oh my God! That's human DNA! Val Venis is spraying his opponents with human DNA!"

Man, those were some weird WWF storylines.

ps - Val Venis wallpaper here.
