Armas has his moments, that's why we're mid table and not bottom feeders. They're just not very consistent moments and the time in between ain't pretty.

Yeah we won 2-0 but outside of the first 20 minutes we didnt play well. Especially the defense. On any other day the result could have been much much different.
This wasnt a good game. It wasnt a good performance and if we give up opportunities like we did against Portland a better team will handle us no problem.

LolThese kinds of results piss me off in terms of getting Armas out the door.

Guys still learning and with this system there will be breakdowns
This will be a very telling and hopefully good game
Philly knows what coming and we need put together multiple good performances.
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Weve got a few games left but the guys are still LEARNING???
If its the end of the school year and you havent learned anything youre either an idiot or your teacher is terrible. Or both.
The defense was trash yet again in Portland. We got lucky.

I will defer to you, as Im assuming you watched on TV, which I believe to be much more conducive to picking up on many of the finer details of the game. I was at the game and wouldnt be surprised if I missed some things, as Ive yet to watch the DVR of it. That being said, I didnt find the defense to be that disastrous. Portland obviously squandered a few very good chances (crossbar being one), but I thought the D put in a real solid nights work all things considered. Doesnt change my opinion on Armas or our overall outlook for the season, but I thought they earned some props for their performance.

The only difference to me in these past two results is that we werent punished for our mistakes.
Portland and Philly had some very good looks on net. Another day or another team and...well you know.

So did we. You can't play the "what if" game and only count the ones that could have gone in for the other guys.

i dont think that's completely fair. You compare the expected goals from today, to most of the other games we played this season and today blew it out of the water. Philly didn't get too many good looks today besides the first half breakaway save Robles made and the Kemar block in second half. Watching the game I thought we were noticeably better on defense. They had an expected goal of under .7 in the game.
We are not in "Supporters Shield" mode, but its better than the garbage we saw recently

Id also throw the Parker clearance play in that category of nervy moments, but Im in total agreement with you. We limited their high danger chances and the defense made smart and skillful plays to extinguish the fires when they did occur. Even in the most dominant of performances, its very difficult to escape a game without allowing 1 or 2 dangerous opportunities. The backline put in a very good performance tonight and hopefully 2 positive trends could be developing: Long starting to look like 2018 Long and Duncan starting to look like a serviceable RB.i dont think that's completely fair.
