Stolz is more of an 8 than a 10.

Hopefully we can find a LW/LM and Peguy can be the backup attacking mid.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

Peggy can't play there.  No legs, and his value is in passing, not crossing.

To be fair we all said the exact same thing about Henry playing that spot last year. Peguy is not Henry, but seeing how the system worked last year its not totally out of the question. Peguy would need to be rested even more than at CAM though.

Peguy could also float more to the middle of the field from LM, like Henry, and allow more overlap from Miller.

I agree that he doesn't have the pace or legs to play a traditional, up-and-down wide midfielder, but I think it's imperative that we get him on the field somewhere.

I never said that.    Titi didn't have young mans legs, but he could still beat most defenders.   And Henry could do everything, Peggy can't.   Peggy can hold the ball with 3 men on him, but he can't take on defenders one v one and beat them like Henry could.  I love Peggy... but no.

I think the idea of him and Felipe swapping back and forth could really give defenses problems.

I think the lesson to be had here is not that it bodes well for Peguy, but rather that doubting Thierry Henry in any capacity is a mistake.

Assuming Felipe is all he's touted to be, you have to like Peggy as a late game possession guy @ CM to hold a lead, or as a sub for BWP when we need fresh legs or a different look.

Still remains to be seen what our central defense will look like and it doesn't look promising.

Would like to see us get a true left winger in.

Jesse, your defense, woof.

I mean we've lost Alexander, Oyongo,  Henry in the midfield and replaced with Felipe and Kljestian.

Is this Marsch's preferred formation? Anyone know what he did with Le Impact?

Its similar to what he played with Montreal, and apparently he hinted at sticking with the 4-2-3-1 at the town hall but anyone who attended can feel free to correct that.
