ALERT: you can get tickets to see Maiden tomorrow at Prudential Center for $15 on SeatGeek. Thank God for all the suckers who MUST see a basketball game where we all know the end result in advance.

Guided By Voices coming to Asbury Park on September 1.
Of course, that's the day of the USA-Costa Rica game at RBA ...

I'm kicking myself. I should've gone. Oh well, there's always next year.

Saw quite a few SW denizens enjoying themselves in AP.

Saw a couple more tonight.
Actually went in, as a passerby gifted me a ticket.

Absolutely crazy. Can't say I've been a fan of late but I definitely wore out Hybrid Theory and Meteora in my teens.

Went to both nights of the MXPX 25th anniversary shows at the Highline Ballroom. The supporting acts (The Huningtons and Slick Shoes) were both tremendous and I would gladly go out of my way to see either band as a headliner. The Huningtons were like The Queers or Screeching Weasels in that they are influenced by The Ramones and in a 2017 with so much shitty music out there I absolutely loved that. Slick Shoes sounded a lot like MXPX stylistically and considering that might be my favorite band ever I loved them. And MXPX, what can I say? They were beyond awesome. The first night was probably the greatest show I've ever been to and last night wasn't that far off. They played most of the songs off Buffalo, which is one of my favorite albums ever and they played a lot off Life in General which is also up there. Even the stuff they played off their less popular albums was great. Only negative about night 2 was that they had to cut the show 15 minutes shorter than the night prior because the building had a dance party scheduled for midnight and they had a tight curfew. But the reason they did it was so they could have more time to meet people after the show at the merch table.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!

Well, how was the dance party?
