Need a convincing home win, to cleanse the stench from our road form.

While the Revs defeated Philly 4-2 in the US Open Cup at Harvard on 7/20,

& put out the Fire on 8/9 to advance to the USOC final,

NE's recent league form has been awful: 0W-4L:

losing 3-1 @ Orlando, 4-0 @ Toronto, 4-0 @ home to Philly, 2-0 @ Cbus.

Revs now have to fly to San Jose for a mid-week match on 8/24,

before coming to RBA next Sunday.

Similar to us, Revs are 1W-7L-4T on the road.

Let's hope this form continues, and they are 1W-9L-4T on 8/29.

Focus on that Cup final in Frisco on 9/13, NE!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

New England is terrible. Worst goal differential in the league by a wide margin. This needs to be a convincing win at home.

New England has been terrible, but they do have talent. Especially guys who can score. No guarantee although it appears that way. Definitely need to score early. Will get them thinking "here we go again."

Who? Nguyen is their top goalscorer with 5, BWP has more goals than their top 4-5 scorers combined. Kamara has been way off pace from his play last year.

There's no reason whatsoever to lose this game on paper.

Revs only road win was @ Vancouver on June 18.

Sn Jose 6W-2L-4T @ home so far this year.

Portland is now the only MLS team without a road win.

Timbers are @ Seattle tonight.

Sounders are 5 points out of 6th, held by Portland,

but have 2 games in hand.

There's really no reason to believe RBNY won't win this fairly convincingly, with maybe a wobble and an early Kamara goal.

Might as well just enjoy it and pray Sacha doesn't get that USMNT call-up everyone's been whining for and misses the Vancouver game.

Kamara... Whether or not he's scored goals doesn't mean he doesn't have talent.  That dude is dominant at his best.  Knocked us out of the playoffs last year.

One thing about the starting lineup here is that Marsch has to start integrating Royer and Damari if he wants them to have an impact in the playoffs.  It's very hard to gain any confidence just coming off the bench for a few minutes here and there.

i don't think JM knows that. He's still a 3rd yr head coach.

Add to the reasons we should win:

- We have no mid-week game.

- New England has to travel to San Jose to play Wednesday night.

Philly stomped the Revs in Foxboro to the tune of 4-0, surely this team could do better at home.
