Do you have any plumbing experience?

No, unless using a plunger does. My experience is more along the lines of tv/radio production

Some career advice for all you youngsters out there:

Despite all of the talk about Tech jobs moving overseas, there is an absolute dirth of qualified software professionals in this country.

Even though outsourcing overseas is very much a reality, it still takes someone or some group of people that have good communication skills to bring everything together here stateside.

Microsoft .NET programming and anything mobile (iPhone or Android) are so hot right now that there are bidding wars between companies to get them in the door.

"dirth" > dearth

For the kids: it means "notable lack of"

PS: Stay in school, kids!
Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.
