I thought it was good for Villareal to get pushed around by those huge Tottenham players.

SoCal Spurs fans are not as mouthy as SoCal Barca or AC Milan fans.

I had fun.

Omar lost track of Bale for that goal. Or was it Lopes? I'll blame Omar. What say yous guys, Omar is above or below 67% back to his old self?

What with the lack of capo box and drum? The whole corner felt kinda dead.

Still, a relatively entertaining game of football. I was glad that Villareal got a start and got roughed up a little bit. I also enjoyed McGee's...contributions...when he was subbed in.

I liked that our reserves held their starters to very little for the second half.

...ooooh ooooooooh we are the riot squad...

takeaway from the game was Gonzo got some much needed game time action in a friendly where they aren't going to 2-foot tackle him like the shitvas would on the weekend. I'm glad he was pulled after 60 but happy that he got a full hour in. Finally some sense has been put into the staff and not rushing people back too soon.

he shouldnt play a full game until next month at the Classico and not the Madrid game.. jajajajaja

You came from West Covina, You came from West Covina...

Sure the corner was kinda dead but it still was a great time. Anyone know why it didn't go to PK's like last year's Man City game (and Portland's game against Aston Villa last night)? Not gonna lie, I was kind of rooting against the Galaxy to score in the last 5 minutes hoping for it to go to penalties, but it just ended...

I wonder why we have these games. I always thought that it was an "exhibition" game so that the away team can strut their stuff and that we could show the footie snobs of L.A. that they can come and watch good footie right on their doorstep. I.e. conjure up a bigger fan base.

Apparently it's really an opportunity for the coaches to give all their rookies and bench warmers some pitch time.

The first half of the match last night was pretty good, the second half probably convinced most people never to come back.

Haha!

Rad...

These games are nonsense and I'm glad Bruce started what was the equivalent of a reserve squad.

At one point both the Galaxy and Spurs subbed out a player I had never heard of and then subbed in a player I had never heard of. That was rad.

Friendlies don't go to penalties. City game went to penalties cause it was that bullshit "World football Challenge" which I believe is officially a tournament.

Edit: Who knows. Villa and Portland went to penalties and they were in a "Friendly"
