Meyer's pass from the G's penalty area was weighted perfectly to Donovan. Hit him in stride. Rancho United and I had to rewind it to see who sent it. Juninho? No. Beckham? No. That was a wonderful pass. Hopefully, there was intent there and not just a clearance that worked out well.

Wondo must've felt like he was playing a US international. Pressure, then blows chances.

If I were Lenhart's teammate, I would've wanted to kick him in the shins. Why was he wearing a retarded sideheaded bun in the midst of a very important game? What an asshole.

This kind of makes up for the sting of watching the Galaxy Meltdown in SJ in 2003. Now, can we go to DC and get rid of the stain of 1996?

Since you mentioned a redemption tour, id like RSL to advance. i want it to be us to elimante them. fuck them too. also, I mentioned on google chat that I want the original rivalry for the cup. Fuck DC's four stars. I'm still bitter.

I can tell you dudes on the redemption tour don't go to games at the Home Depot Center anymore.

We're playing the Refunders.

Interesting note: The lower seed won every series this round. I hope this continues in the next. But not the one after.

It's happening!

Osvaldo Alonso picked up a yellow, so he's going to be pretty muted in the first match unless he wants to sit out the game in Seattle.

DC may have won, but Hamid is out for the next game on a red card. There's no way Houston loses that series.

Ahem.

So, tonight is part two of a multipart dream....

Step 1: Houston Beats Chicago - handled.

Step 2: The G's beat Vancouver -handled

Step 3: The G's beat the Quakes and eliminate them on their field - handled

Step 4: Houston defeats whomever they're playing. - handled

Step 5: Seattle defeats RSL - handled

Step 6: The G's beat the Sounders and eliminate them on their field.

Step 7: Houston defeats whomever they're playing.

Step 8: The Galaxy host Houston for the Cup Final and defeat them for the second consecutive year.

Five down, three to go.

To add fuel to the Houston fire, Hamid ran his mouth on twitter immediately after being sent off.

He's probably getting another game tacked on.

RSL's golden generation is ready for dismantling? I'm cool with that.

The Sounders finally got past the conference semis after 100 years of association football? What took them so long?

Seattle does not have a consistent goal scorer a la Keane. They don't have a beast on the backline a la Omar. They don't have a dead ball specialist a la Beckham. They don't have a mad bomber a la Juninho. They don't have an American Hero (anymore) a la Landon. They don't have a BAMF. This year, they don't have a Championship team. We do.

Bones is some kind of prophet.

Word.

Also let us not gloss over Slug's consistent "Fonzi" method of pre-game predictions.

The cocktail of tempered joy and consistent anxiety I feel as the G's continue to advance leaves me with little to add these days.

Just gonna sit back, wait and see if I need to buy a plane ticket in December...

5am kick offs are much better than 3.

agreed, unless there is extra time, pks and you have to go to work. thankfully it didn't come to it (yet).

this week has been one with little sleep anyway: MLS Playoffs, US Election, lots of homework and prep for school and my job.

I'm kinda happy the G's have only 3 ;) more MLS matches left this season, though you'll read my complaints by about mid december that I miss the daily G's dosis...

However the whole "watching the Gs games live during all times of the night over here" isn't healthy or productive.

Ahem.

This goal reminds me of the one I scored on you last week at the park, Jeremy.
