Lots of heavy touches and cheap giveaways by our midfield so far this half.

Dixon had a good chance to put HFD up 2-0, but flubbed the chance well wide.

Wow. Rito gets a yellow after a pretty soft challenge. Really his first questionable challenge of the match.

This while Silva gets away with cleaning Clarks clock.

USL refereeing at its finest.

Jesus.

Dixon right side from just outside the 18 makes Lapsley look like a fool. Beats him lower 90 on a bouncer near post.

Inexcusable. A D3 high school keeper could have saved that one.

HFD up 2-0.

Lapsley is atrocious. Down 2-0 after a shot from outside the box bounces under his arms...

LaCava blows a golden opportunity to pull one back.

Ball fell to his feet just around the penalty spot with only the keeper to beat and he scuffs it wide right.

HFD up 2-0 at the half.

RB2 much like their older brother simply dont have enough talent on the field.

2-0 at halftime. Hartford is calling the game for the referee. I'm actually surprised they aren't giving Bobocea the starts in goal. Yes, he is going to college, but Lapsley isn't going to be around next year. Might as well get Bobocea some more pro experience.

Watching it again, LaCava stole that ball back turned and rifled the shot. Yes, has to do better, but outside the finish that was MLS caliber. Angle was a bit tight and had players on him.

Youre right. On second look it was more difficult. Still...you gotta finish that if you want to jump up to MLS.

LaCava gets one back. 2-1. Ref is still giving Hartford call after call while they are diving all over the place breaking our momentum.

Former RBNY HGP Kevin Politz once again having a great game against us. Has shut down Sowe all night.

Dieye's only skill is speed. His dribbling and taking on defenders is so bad. 4x since coming into the game a few minutes ago that he literally dribbled the ball into Hartford defenders.

Hartford scores again on poor defending on a set piece (second time tonight). 3-1

Tonight's loss all but guarantees we don't make the playoffs for the first time.
Currently 4W, 0D, 8L on 12pts
Hartford at 7,1,3 with 22pts.

We have 4 left so 24 max pts. Need to win out and Hartford can't win one of their last 5...

Good news is that not having the MLS guys available gave us a look at more academy players than ever with those kids getting a lot of minutes.

Looking to next season for the players on professional contracts:

Bring Back: Fala, Clark, Zajec, LaCava, and Sowe (academy players all still stay involved until they leave for college and are no longer eligible)

Toss Up: Kilwien, Bounthong, Sharifi, and Corfe

Gone: Lapsley, Boateng, Rito, Dieye, and Elney

Likely cut from first team: both Tolkin and Lema. Try to get both back on USL deals.

A few former academy players coming out of college this year that might get a deal too.

Sometimes a Prem goalie does the same thing.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

In a normal season, the likes of McIntosh, Tolkin, Stroud, Mines, and Jorgensen would be seeing time with this team. They'd have been much more competitive. Now they're leaning on teenagers to carry the load.

Hartford beat Philly 2 last night, officially eliminating NYRBII who won't qualify for the playoffs for the first time in club history.
