#1340444 Stadium updates

Posted by SatansHockey on 11 February 2019 - 01:59 PM

mobile only will probably deter some casual fans, but at least the scalpers will probably take a hit.

There's no way scalpers are making enough money off this team to begin with. Besides the nycfc games, which have seen the attendance drop more and more I just can't imagine they are making any money off Red Bulls season tickets to begin with.

Hell it's hard to sell my seats in 101 for face value some games.

I HATE mobile only options.    Half the stadium can't find their seats; making them manage tickets on their phones will be a big dissatisfier for many.

Well the article doesn't make this clear but didn't the ticket machines at the entrance print out a piece of paper with the seat location on it? I remember seeing it but I've never had to do it since I've always just been a season ticket holder anyway and have only used the card or pdf print outs.

https://www.newyorkr...nce-2019-season on their website too and they just sent out the emails.

I like the scoreboard updates. I always thought the scoreboards were meh even when it opened in 2010.

Im not a fan of the mobile only option, especially for season ticket holders. I thought the card system that they have had in place is a much better option and I'm disappointed they are going this route.

More cashless options is whatever. It really doesn't take long to give someone change and I doubt it reduces wait times all that much to begin with.

Don't get me wrong it's still the best place to watch a game from the stands but the stadiums biggest flaw is that the concourses were simply not built wide enough to support that many people to begin with let alone when everyone is trying to go there during halftime or at the end of a game when it's a sold out or really crowded crowd.

I'd also really like for them to put some damn air conditioning in the bathrooms so it's not a sauna in there when it's hot out.

I hope there is a big crowd for our boys at the return leg.

Not gonna happen

I'm not a Galaxy fan so it really doesn't bother me who they build statues for.

#1340221 Why did we lose to Atlanta?

Posted by SatansHockey on 06 February 2019 - 12:25 PM

Because we used the same garbage plan in both away legs of not attacking the hell out of them like we did in Columbus. Only difference is we shit the bed completely defensively and gave up 3 vs the 1 in Columbus.

If we went out there in both games attacking and pressing like we should have we would have easily came back with a tie or at the worst a few away goals.

I'm still pissed off.

#1340083 Did We Drop the Red Kit?

Posted by SatansHockey on 04 February 2019 - 12:27 PM

The red jersey isn't going anywhere. The jerseys are always on a 2 year cycle.

The "primary" and "secondary" aspects are just names and really don't matter.

The red will be worn the vast majority of the games and they will use the new grey ones when they can't wear the reds.

For the 2020 season the current red jerseys will be replaced... Most likely with another variation of a red jersey.

I hope the Blue/Yellow kit is the one that is retired. Wear the white kit once every 15 games.

They retired the Blue/Yellow one last year

I think they are just gonna wear the reds as much as possible and only the grey ones when they have to just like they always wore the white ones as much as possible and only wore the blue/gold ones when they had to.

I need to see the whole uniform first before making a judgment but I don't mind grey if that's what we go with. Only so much ya can do with white, we have had white ones forever.

Plus it seems like we will wear the red ones as much as possible anyway so not a huge deal since we won't see these much anyway.

#1339809 So uh...

Posted by SatansHockey on 28 January 2019 - 09:03 AM

I'm already see this kind of movements before with other clubs. and the result is no tittles for a while, and  fans instead of focus on the club performance start to focus and support  individual players and follow their careers overseas

Maybe I'm in the minority but I personally don't care about following any of these guys and their new club teams once they leave the team. Miazga, Adams, etc etc etc. I don't wish them any ill will or anything silly like that especially cause I want them to perform for team USA but I just don't care to follow other teams. I only watch this team and shitty USA.

I'm happy with this, hopefully he stays healthy. At least he seems to enjoy being here unlike the clown.

#1338755 Attendance again

Posted by SatansHockey on 05 January 2019 - 10:09 AM

I can't imagine it being very different for a first timer at, say, Yankee Stadium.   Ever try driving and parking there?

I'm not a baseball fan but I think we have a way higher percentage of people in NJ who drive than people at Yankee games who drive. Obviously NJ has public transportation options but for a family of 4 on NJ transit it can be way more expensive for round trip tickets than it is to drive.

Plus we need fans to have a good experience to want to come back. All the Yankees need to do is just be good.

First timers who don't know where to park and take forever to get in and out of the area and never come back is what I think hurts our attendance more than anything else. Look at any big game that isn't the red bulls held at RBA and you see numerous complaints about traffic and parking from first timers, happens all the time.

Do you know when the rest of the schedule gets released?

It was January 4th last year so probably around the same time.
