Who dat?

That's when I became a Saints fan. Naturally, I got used to how much they sucked, and that was part of the charm. After Katrina, the Saints were pretty much the only thing keeping the city together, even though they played in Baton Rouge and San Antonio. When the 'Dome reopened, who can forget the great performance by Green Day and U2 featuring the Skids' "Saints are Coming"? Of course, the Saints won handily and it's been a miracle since.
Which brings me to today. The Saints are now 13-0 after beating the Falcons today. They've NEVER won 13 games in a season, much less go unbeaten by them. I have a friend who works for the club, and even he is saying what everyone is thinking, "We gotta chance at the Superbowl... hell really is freezing over!"
So, as someone who hates the NFL, but has followed one team since the early 90's, this is a glorious moment.
This is now the official LARS New Orleans Saints discussion thread.
Bring on your hatred! Bring on your stories! No matter what, I'm gonna watch them go 14-0 next weekend.

It's a great story, and as a fan of another perennially crappy team the Saints' rise gives me hope. But ZC is right.Didn't warrant their own thread

AND... if the magic keeps happening, I'll have a LARS gathering for the Saints and have a bunch of Gumbo. So now it's a thing.

Seriously, if people are concerned about me starting a New Orleans Saints thread in the "All Sports Forum" of an MLS team's fan group page, especially when I have NEVER started one here before, well, I have one thing to say: GET MORE FIBER IN YOUR DIET.
By the way, did anyone catch that this may lead to me having a cajun food party for LARSers?

That was an awesome moment.
I love the video for the song too. Very poignant.
