I feel like nothing is going to matter today because we all know this is going to be decided by a bullshit penalty for Atlanta.

Now you may turn out to be right, but this is just getting the excuses in early.

I think Red Bull will win. Not convinced with Atlanta's defense on the road and the lack of BWP is a big unknown for them as well. There are a bunch of different lineups Red Bull could use because of this. Atlanta is going to have to go into the game and just wing it on defense and hope that works.

Also this is a big game and Atlanta's players mentally haven't seemed up for those. They, particularly Martinez, are very prone to throwing hissy fits.

Even if we win today I don't think we are gonna get the shield at this point, Atlanta's remaining schedule is at home against New England and Chicago and end the season in Toronto. New England will have to win that game to keep their slim playoff chances alive but Chicago and Toronto will most likely be eliminated before those games happen.

Anything can happen in any of those games.

Chicago and Toronto just went off yesterday.

White starts up front.

Adams out with a back issue. Very bad news.

Chicago was at home and Toronto will most likely be eliminated by then. That San Jose-Atlanta game sealed it for me. We basically need to win out and need help. I just don't see it happening.

No Adams is very not good for this game especially.  Adams shutting down Almiron was the biggest reason we beat them last time.

Yep. Thinking SJ was up 4-1, only to see it flipped to 3-2, then 3-4, was crazy.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Don't give a fuck about the shield, i just want to win because their fan base might be worse then NYCFC's somehow. Heads would explode trying to find excuses as to why they lost without our two best players on the field.

Also Rza playing next to Davis isn't too worrying.

If this is a stifling 1-0 kind of game for metros, they could end up throwing the kind of hissy fit that gets the BWPs of the world carded up.

RED. BULL. OUT.

Between the international break and a trip out of the country, I haven't seen a RBNY match in a month.  Feels like an offseason.  Excited just to see them play, but 3 points would be delicious.

Seems like the high press is back in action.

Yup. ATL didn't have a meaningful touch in our half for the first 7 minutes. Let's see if we have the legs to keep it up.
