This is exactly the type of player, if not the specific player, I would have hoped for, realistically.    Not a big name, but not an MLS or overseas reserve team castoff.  Plus, Viking Army should be thrilled.

Exactly.

This is the replacement for Sam to be honest.   26 years old and seems competent.   Plays the left side but seems like he can play both.  As can Grella and Veron.

FC Midtjylland is the prototypical analytics team.

Great read: http://www.si.com/pl...-matthew-benham

Another area of inefficiency in soccer is set pieces, says Ankersen, who has made sure the club has regular set-piece meetings between himself, players, coaches and outside consultants. Midtjylland has scored nearly a goal a game from set-pieces this season, an insanely high strike rate.

Don't have Fifa handy to know what type of player he is in terms of speed and all of that.

K, after watching any highlights I can find of that team he was on, he has a very good shot and isn't afraid to take it.  Seems like a worker and speed/quickness are middle of the road.   WIll fit our system well.  Played very high up on the left side.

Absolutely rapid and a good dribbler.

Just turned 26 so could get him for a few years.

He's not great in other departments, not a great passer, not very physical.

I'd be ok with this. Really show Veron he needs to get his shit together.

Fifa says he is quick but not lightning quick, decent handler of the ball, but evidently can't score.

He has caps for the Austrian national team.

From what I have heard and seen with players on this team over the years, Norway and Austria's leagues are around MLS quality. So it shouldn't be a big step up or down for him.

I reserve comment until FIFA can be fully referenced.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Not a DP, but 26, with caps and European knockout stage experience at one of the biggest stages in the sport. Bundesliga experience as well.

Seems like a sensible signing, and a sign that they see Veron's future up front, if at all.

He came on the in 1st leg in the 84th min.

Ended up with a 6.05 on who scored.

1 shot not on target, made 1/1 passes.

Didn't play in the 2nd leg.

Current FIFA stats

86 Pace
64 Shot
63 Passing
76 Dribble
25 Defence
63 Physical

Medium / Medium Workrates

3 stars skills
3 star weak foot

Right footed

Few comments on his page saying he deserves 4 or 5 star skills which means he's pretty tricky dribbler.

****im not saying FIFA ratings mean anything but I've watched this guy for 8 mins so can't really give any info from that.

Seems a solid signing if we end up with him.
