Thierry is still waiting for his first sold out RBA.

Maybe he'll get it against the Galaxy on the 14th, which will be even more impressive as there will only be two teams playing that day.

WOOO, we got over 23,000 for a friendly that didn't even matter where our marquee DP, Juan Pablo Angel didn't even play!

No one cares baout Beckham anymore. The REVS were able to get 20k by advertising for Donovan (and he didn;t even come, which was hilarious to me). A Donovan-Henry home match should be close to a sell-out.

Exactly, Donovan is a bigger draw than Beckham at this point, in the US anyway.

Did Harraby change his handle... or did I miss something?

Not sure I buy into the Donovan has more name recognition than Beckham, but I see where you are going with this which is fine.

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Harraby Limited Liability Gadfly?

I would agree with HL that Donovan is now "bigger" in the US than Beckham. We like our local heroes and Donovan burnished his reputation in the World Cup. Beckham is on the "out of sight, out of mind" downslope of fame, already. If he had produced more magic on the field here it might have been different, but give him another five years and the only appearances he'll be making are on Hollywood Squares.

Well aren't the Red Bulls waiting for their first official sell out? I thought the Santos game was a few hundred seats short of a reported sell out. Am i mistaken, i really dont remember.

In any event i think anything in the 20-23K range for this team (a legitimate 20-23K like we saw Thursday and Sunday) is far cry from the 2-4L crowds at Giants and even some of the 5-7K crowds I saw at RBA earlier this year.
