Watched a lot of that last game.

I actually think this is our best USL team from top to bottom.  Just a lot of good players.  The back 4 specifically as well.  Really, the back 6 when you include Koffi and Lema.  Not as good on the top end as a few years back, but better when it comes down to each guy.  Buckmaster and Yanes are good defensive players.  Koffi was really good that last game and is extremely smooth.  Not a destroyer, but a very fluid number 8.

When you have guys like Mines flying at a 100%, it's going to be even better.   I'll give Barlow a ton of credit too in that he imposes his will out there.  His drive is extremely good.

Still not crazy about Epps and I know the results this game.  With the goal he was able to take about 8 steps and measure up the shot.  That's just not going to happen much in MLS.  I don't think his style fits the team yet.  He's a deliberate player and he has to erase that from his game.

Finally watched the second half last night.

I thought Valot, Beze, Epps looked stellar and a level above (all being 1st team contributors makes sense). Barlow had chances but he got a brace so cant complain, his movement was good and is faster than you would think.

Nealis is just a beast in the air he just needs to work on his passing but looking like a great addition. Koffi was solid as a 8 good passing and vision, few killer passes.

All in all we are just better than Swope and I hope we keep more clean sheets cause last year as fun as it was to watch we just tried to win every game 3-2. Excited to watch this team this year!

USL webiste has us at 15th in power rankings, not that I put any weight into them.

Only surprise for me is that Nuhu hasn't been signed as the backup keeper. I guess they feel good with Montali out of the academy for now and then maybe they sign Nuhu later on? Nuhu (along with Amarildo and Loebe) were at the opener last Saturday.

First weekend with RB and RB2 match.

Since this is my 1st team 18

BWP

Royer - Beze - Muyl

Davis - RZA

Taxi(?) - Tarek - Parker - Duncan

Robles

Meara, Nealis, Lade, CCJ, Omir, DE7, Jorgenson

I expect RB2 to get

White

Ivan - Mines - Epps

Koffi - Lema

Yanes - Scarlett - ??? - Buckmaster

Louro

This could be one of those times its better to have Omir play 90 for RB2 than a bench slot the day before. Also guess I will learn who next up for CBs.

i'd assume the CB starter for RB2 next to Scarlett is Boateng, a draftee.

??? Why not Healthy Scratch?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Was wondering what happened to him considering he was our highest pick of this past draft.
