Also linked with the starting GK for Anderlecht per this article.

Considering they paid 2.5M for him, we'd be looking at another multi-million dollar fee.

Would like the signing, but wasn't the point of moving Robles that we didn't have a ton of money taken up by GKs?

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Weird move to me considering current CBA. Would not waste an intl spot and big $$ on another GK. Other priorities on this roster.

Does seem odd. $2m + for him?

Unfortunately, seems like the strongest link to a player at this point, hes second choice at Anderlecht so hes probably more willing to move.

Thomas Didillon, not Henrik von Crombrugge

Yep, just corrected it.

Wonder how correct this translation is: "Didillon would be interested in New York Red Bulls from the American MLS and Anderlecht would like to work on a transfer."

If you're going to get a keeper who's sitting the bench in Belgium, why not make a move for Horvath?  At least he's  American, and he might be happy to come here to play and get back into the national team picture.

i don't mind another goalie because if Meara gets injured i'm not confident in anything we have left.  But until we know how much TAM/GAM, etc we need to get our midfield, striker and right back help not interested in transfer fees for goalies.  A loan would be ok though

For the love of god if we blow our winter transfer budget on a keeper....

Agreed.

Decent GKs are a dime a dozen. Ditto defenders. Easy to find veteran talent and young unproven talent at these positions.

Much harder to find attacking talent that are a virtual lock to produce.

Before he's taking cheesy contract-signing photos with an actually exciting signing (and there may only be one if any at this rate), Ham Sammich will be explaining to us how making a GK a DP was something the team did once before so hey! They've listened to our cries for 3 DPs! But really just two, because "good enough!" is the motto. Now shut up and enjoy your safe standing section, 5 years overdue.

If there's no real signing news by the end of this week, one of those MLS media muppets needs to write a piece calling out the collapsing sham in Harrison. From 71 points and mauling NYC to here...

I've got no problem spending money on a GK, because I remember the revolving door of shit we had before Robles.  I only have a problem spending money on a GK if it is the only money we spend, and I'm surprised they would think that little of Meara,
