Know of any cool events to share with fellow Section 8'ers? Post them here!

Here's one for tomorrow night:

Since y’all love drinkin so much, perhaps you'd like to go to this thing. I won one of those “free booze” parties at “The Spot” located on 4437 N. Broadway (right by the tattoo factory north of Montrose) on Saturday, September 22nd. It’s free drinks from 10-11PM, your cover is free from 9pm on. Just say you’re in my party for your drink bracelet. Bring as many people as you want.

Oaktober Fest in Oak Park this weekend! OK, I'm only going because of good music. I also plan on getting so drunk they never do it again.

Also, there's a Chicago Fire game this Sunday. I suggest you all check it out and have some beer there too.

The folks at the Gin Mill wre aiiight. There was only 1 barmaid, and she seemed to be one of those that is so used to a college bar crowd that she could care less about actually serving or acknowledging anyone.... minues points on the service there. HOWEVER, I could tell ya the name of the barman, but he got me drunk as f*ck off his secret stash of burbon--so much so, that I can't remember. A HUGE THANK YOU to Oscar for getting me home.....man was I a mess.

Back to the drinking business....the drinks were relatively cheap at the Gin Mill, I think most drafts were $3(guiness included) and enough Red jerseys showed up to make it a home crowd. The only downer for me---which is a boarderline unforgivable act, was that they ran out of guiness. How is that possible?! It's not like I drank it all.

Sham 69 - Jimmy Pursey = NOT Sham 69 <_<

Let's face it, a band with only 1 original member (who is not the prominent member), is shamming you by touring under the band name. They should actually be "Shamster 07", the Sham 69 tribute band. :P
