Again, we'll know more this winter.  If the salary cap goes up dramatically and these POS drink makers still don't splash the cash, then it's a warning sign.  If it's May and RB Liepzig is headed for the Bundesliga, that would probably change things pretty dramatically.  As it stands right now, what Wahl said seems to have some decent traction and I would expect follow up stories from him over the next couple of months with further details.

From a global portfolio perspective, it seems as if Red Bull is reigning in their expenditures overall.  They sold the Ghana outfit, they lost Vettel and there are strong rumors that we're sold next.   Maybe there's little to it, but there's a lot of smoke this time around.

Not gonna lie, Cosmos weren't my first choice for a new owner anyway.

Wow... didn't realize they lost Vettel. Vettel to Ferrari. Alonso moves back to McLaren. I wonder who takes over for Vettel at RB Racing. Riccardo is a great driver... I'd be shocked if Red Bull doesn't splash big for a replacement.

Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg could leave Mercedes because they hate each other.  Between them they have won 12 of the season’s 15 races.  N.M.R.  in 3...2...1....

Certainly possible. These high profile 1 and 2 in standings from same team groupings can only stay together so long.

Red Bull is promoting Daniil Kvyat from their junior team at Suderia Toro Rosso (confirmed) . Vettle didn't leave because of money, but mainly because of the fact that he needs a new challenge, and he was a big Schumacher fan while growing up so the move to Ferrari makes sense.

The FIA and the teams should be ashamed that they tabled closed cockpits because they "looked ugly"...when every single car built since 2009 looks like a deformed child's toy. The cars suck already with these dogshit engines, I'd rather they be more safe if they're going to be slow and unsightly.

My heart goes out to Jules Bianchi and his family, his injury sounds devastating. Something like 90% of people who suffer a diffuse axonal injury never come out of the coma. Fingers crossed for young Jules.

The cars are safe, this is coming from someone who races karts, and has been apart of the design process building formula cars as a student. This article sums up my thoughts perfectly on the unfortunate accident. http://blog.axisofov...d-canopies.html

Yes. Have you ever designed any formula style car?

The cars are about as safe as you can make them, for an open wheel / open cockpit car.

As the board's foremost authority on smoking joints with Ferrari tifosi in the Turn 8-9 stands at Montreal, I think the cars need more flame decals and maybe a horn that plays Dixie.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Nothing important to add, but as someone who doesn't care at all about F1, i couldn't stop binging netflix F1:Drive to Survive. It was really good, and i might tune in if they ever get back to racing.
