Here's the thing:  Seattle, driven perhaps less by Dempseyramamania than by having Toronto as an opponent, pulled a point ahead of the Gs for fifth place.  Potlands, who're idle this week, are another point ahead, as are the Rapids.  Of course, the Rapids play the goats tomorrow, so probably pencil in another 3 points for them.

So a win here would really be nice.

Commentators were saying at the time of the worst trade in the history of trades that Rogers would be starting to justify himself come August or so.  That seems like a pretty leisurely pace to me, but it would be nice to see him get on that tomorrow as well.

Think both Robbies are hurt, right.  Might see Keane play, but Rogers?  Not going to miss The Brave One if he doesn't play.

Interested to watch Penedo.  Think if Sarvas and Juninho can keep up doing what they are doing, Gs should click.

Those evil worshipping heathens from Texas must continue their downward spiral of suffering at the hands of the righteous ones today.

Wait, didn't they both play a fair amount in last week's friendlies Prestigious International Tournament?  In particular, I was told on the Book of Face that since Rogers "played pretty good" against Juventus, it was time to move on from the Magee trade.

Both Robbies played. But, in the 3rd place game of the ICC, Robbie #1 didn't want to play with Robbie #2. 'Twas a curious site to see Robbie #2 with his hands in the air and Robbie #1 looking the other way.

I can't find the subs, but the starting lineup is a doozy, featuring Cuddles AND Leonardo:  :o

Cudicini; DeLaGarza, Gonzalez, Leonardo, Dunivant, Franklin, Sarvas, Juninho, Zardes; Donovan, Keane

Ah, here are the subs:  Penedo, Opare, Mastroeni, Jimenez, Stephens, Villarreal, McBean

Seriously, Penedo and Jimenez on the bench?  What the fucking hell is this shit?

I mean, I have total confidence in our guys, obvs.

But what the fucking fuck????

15 minutes in, Cudicini doesn't challenge the initial cross on the corner kick and Dullass scores.  Did anyone not see this coming, apart apparently from Bruce?

Just before halftime DONOVAN chips the keeper and outruns Hedges to tie it up!

Second week in a row we give up a goal right out of halftime because Grandpa Cudicini is busy adjusting the onion on his belt.

Cripes, once again, challenging the initial ball on the free kick would have been the best move.  Or staying on his line would have been okay here.  Instead the old fool waits in no man's land and watches the ball bounce over his head.  How did this guy even convince an English team to let him ride their bench?

As much as I want to blame Leo, that evil Blas was off side.

Oooooh, DONOVAN with a wide-open one-time shot to tie things up again!

Oh, apparently Jimenez came in for Death Ray Eyes a few minutes ago, too.

HAT TRICK FOR LANDYCAKES!!!!

Guess this means he's getting traded to Chicago...

Aaaaand, another set piece for Dallas, and another goal. <_<

Stephens in for Juninho in stoppage time.  Mastroeni in for some guy.

Heck of a game, and at least we didn't lose.  I still think we could have won if Penedo had played, though.

On the minimally plus side, the point ties us with The Team That Invented Soccer.  And we're technically ahead of Seattle for 5th place, because we've scored more goals (also our goal differential is better), whether the Eternal Sounders Propaganda Network chooses to acknowledge it or not.

First goal--poor positioning from Cudicini as Cristobal pointed out.  But his flailing and falling and shit was embarrassing.

Second goal--okay, Perez is way offside.  BUT, how does Cudicini stay put and let a ball bounce just 3 yards away from him.  Seriously?  If he comes out and plays that simple ball, offside or no offside, danger ends.  He really is just a poor keeper.  Simple.  Simple.
