They definitely seem like the favourites to win a promotion to MLS this year.

Yep. It's been 16 years, since Miami was relegated in 2001.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I would take Cincy.  Heat,  humidity. Miami in August!

I think we can get the job done either way.

Cinti a little dangerous because they will be inspired by a huge crowd.  (I will be inspired by a 33K crowd for USOC semis!)

Miami makes me a little more concerned because having ~ 5 ex-RB players would really inspire them to have their best game ever.  Although they are D2 level players they can pull a finals level performance out of their hat to beat their old team.

Hoping we get the job done and SJ channels their 2012? heart attack Quakes attitude to pull the upset on SKC so we can host.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

If we just dominated this Quakes team at home, the Sporks are going to run circles around them as well. If we make it to the Final, look for KC to host it.

Gotta start praying to the soccer gods that we can keep going these 1-0 wins in the Open Cup.

The Miami FC situation is interesting. They have super-rich ownership. They thought they could force pro-rel on MLS because of a super lucrative tv deal offer. They have an MLS level team that dominates NASL. And there is Beckham floundering around.

One possible outcome is they win the USOC, succeed in the Concacaf Champions League and then go belly up.

Hard to sustain that business with minimal media money and attendance hovering around 6,300 per game.

Negative, it's in Miami. Not sure if it'll be televised.

I think Miami wins and we beat them to play San Jose.  Makes no sense for San Jose to win either.

Dom Dwyer traded to OC so that should hurt KC in theory.

Ya, hopefully they fall off for a bit and lose because of it.  A home game final would be huge... A home game I can't make so it will probably happen.

"How do we replace Dom? I don't know that we do," Vermes said. "Go find another player maybe that gives you other strengths that you can work with. But tremendous player and a great guy for our club and that's not going to be easy to replace."

This cup is as good as ours!
