I don't understand why Beckham was so butthurt over the streamers. The can I get, sort of...an empty can doesn't have much mass...but anyway, um...no I don't get it. It's not like it was a rock or a spear or a hand grenade. It was a couple packs of streamers, an empty can and 45,000 TFC fans.

Punish what?

You'll have to excuse him, he's used to playing in leagues in which the fans are so misbehaved that standing is prohibited, beer is not allowed in the stands, and national ID's are required to enter the stadium.

I don't think there needs to be punishment from MLS. The SG's need to police themselves.

Streamers are cool after goals, before and after the game. Using them to impede play for as long as they did is ridiculous. For a team that has done as poorly as TFC, you can't help but think they're punishing themselves. Extra time if applied properly will make up for that. They were up 2-0 and prolonged the game for their team. Pretty dumb.

I think the can was thrown by a random fan, so obviously this isn't an issue which MLS can deal with by punishing an SG.

What would CONCACAF punish and how could we arrange it by next Wednesday?

At this point it would be money or an empty stadium if TFC makes it further in the competition or ever gets in it again. Not much else can be done...

With good reason. Did anyone else see Toronto get fisted in the ass on their home pitch by freaking Smurfs:TNG over the weekend? This is not a mighty opponent we lost to.

The whole season has a bitter taste right now, honestly. It'll fade eventually but right now I am very Meh. It's like, if they don't give a shit why should I? It was a pain in the ass getting to that game, I was looking forward to it all off season. I feel stupid for getting suckered into caring.

I'm tired today because Natalie was up late throwing up.

I thought about this, but to tell you the truth, the score is central to my disappointment.

No doubt a combination of this thread and the U23 implosion thread. I almost puked, too.
