Yes less exciting team to watch is when my mens team wears replica NYRB jerseys....

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Idk, I remember 2009 taking on a pretty comical feel about halfway through. I knew we would lose each game, so if they pulled a draw or a win out it was an absolute joy, but in general I came to get a weird masochistic joy from our blunders. In fact, my favorite all time ESC memory was Eleazar's epic The Last Starfighter reference during our 3-1 drubbing against LA. Also the Wipe-out is cursed civil war within ESC was pretty damn funny as well.

This year, it's all been from home during a pandemic, so I have to say while this team is obviously world-beaters next to 2009, I enjoyed that season much more. In terms of how excited I am to see the team, I would put the two level, because this year has that added disappointment of watching essentially every player regress for a second year straight with no end in sight.

I remember the match against Chivas where there were literally like a dozen people in 101 at kickoff. The match where we allowed two goals in stoppage time vs the scum was THE lowlight of that entire season (the Open Cup match in DC featuring Oduro and Kahno Smith with two of the all time worst performances in a single match in club history. Only good thing was that the scum never charged my card for the ticket.).

That 2-goals in stoppage DC game was "Meet the Team" day.   I remember Rojas and Pacheco sitting at the same autograph table being visibly embarrassed and apologetic, while Kahno was clowning like we won the game 7-0 and he got a hat trick.

How unexciting is it? I just realized they started playing the regular season again yesterday and had missed 2 games. I was so bored by the tournament and the teams performance that i'd completely lost interest.

Covid era sports suck to watch. Covid era sports with 2020 Red Bulls is worse.

The best part of 09 there was some loud people in ESC/101 of Giants stadium who with their cheer fire osorio got the clown fired.  Now we cannot, and after osorio was gone, richie williams actually pulled a lot of wins with the same lineup. :)

Last night's mess gave obvious flashbacks to the Giants Stadium 2-goals-in-stoppage loss to the Scum.  At least in that game we scored a couple goals.   This one was miserable throughout.

2 goals in 7 league games is officially the worst 7-game streak in team history.

In 1999, they were shutout 4 in a row, but scored 4 goals in the 3 games prior or after.

In 2009, they had two overlapping stretches of 3 in 7.

The worst 10-game stretch is 4 in 10 games, also in 2009. We can match it if we're shutout in the next game, and beat it if we get shutout in the one after.
