The "BWP can only play as a solo striker" might be overstated. When BWP first got here I thought he played well up top with Henry in 2 striker sets. He didn't score, but his runs and hard work opened things up for the aging legend. A young speedster BWP can order around might do the same thing, especially if they can flick headers onto #99.
I think it depends on the other forward being smart and good enough to work with him. Keita and Etienne come to mind for it. Royer also.
RED. BULL. OUT.

+1 Moneyball and being cheap are two separate things.I don't think you know what "Moneyball" actually means. It's not a catch-all phrase for being cheap.
Also, this signing is blatantly different from Damari and Gulbrandsen. First of all, it wouldn't be a loan. It would be permanent. Second, Leipzig has nothing to "resurrect." He is not going to be their property in six months. There is nothing in it for them.

This guy is a bit of a cult hero at Leipzig seeing as he's been with them all the way up through the divisions. But as they have climbed the standings and more money has been spent, his role has diminished. Leipzig's policy of always getting younger has squeezed him out of the rotation this year. But I believe he's still a Bundesliga quality player, probably mid to lower table.
But there is no substantial link to him coming here. It's funny that we're already forming lineups with him. Not to say I wouldn't like to see him here but there seems to be nothing to this.

Kaiser is apparently playing his last game for RB Leipzig soon. Just not a fit now that they're stacked with Bundesliga level talent.
I know we're not dying for help in central midfield, but every bit of quality helps.

Better than Rza? Less injury prone than Rza? If so, why not? Knows the system inside and out, but can't hack it at the 1.B level. Maybe he can do a Schweinsteiger and be the sweeper in front of the defense like Collin? He's more of a CM, but he's seen time at DMid.
