No - the rule is for domestic competitions up to the match ban is served in the league in which the ban was issued.
If we were still in CCL, he could play as it's not a domestic competition.
Abang had a 3 match ban last year in USL that prevented him from playing in MLS matches.
Abang also had a handful of other reasons he couldn't play in MLS matches, namely the fact that he is very bad at soccer.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

I just wish they would get to it and decide so we can know how to plan our roster going forward.

Looks like he is in the clear? Hard to believe they would wait this long to announce something, if they were going to.
probably involving lawyers.
Anyone know what happened to the fan?
Bloody nose? broken nose? concussion?
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Has a sports fan ever actually sued for getting hit with a stray ball?
They usually release this stuff midweek, I'd be we hear something tomorrow or Thursday

Thought reports at the time said uninjured.
Perhaps at most a bloody nose.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Yes, quite a few baseball fans have sued, based on injuries far more serious than anything the KC fan has.
Usually courts rule that the ticket is a contract that puts the liability on the holder for any injuries due to balls entering the stands (because it says that on the back,) but sometimes they let a jury decide.
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I think the 'threat of legal action' talk is just sports websites writing clickbait headlines.

Were those based on deliberate actions though? I haven't taken Torts, Contracts, or Sports Law in a while, but I'd imagine that the argument would go a little differently for, say, a bat that slips out of a hitter's hand and hits a fan versus a player throwing his bat into the crowd in anger.Yes, quite a few baseball fans have sued, based on injuries far more serious than anything the KC fan has.

That is a meaningful distinction, but it would be exceedingly difficult to prove intent, under the circumstances. Negligence, maybe.

There was a video of some of the players checking on the guy after the game. He seemed to be a pretty good sport about it and was no worse for the wear.
