By half, obviously I meant one guy, and maybe the 4 others who voted "no, its terrible." Don't get all math nit-picky on me.

That's the best you can do when someone asks you for an example of "bashing management"?

"The company loves its money.

If they could, they'd go to strip clubs and throw naked women at money."

I'd rather we buck our current trend and give one or both of these young guys a chance instead of overpaying on some Euro jackass (Rost).

In all cases I am all for giving some guy the chance to go out there and prove himself, rather than paying top dollar for some dude who thinks American soccer is either a stepping stone or beneath him.

In preseason yeah definitely, but (assuming your last comment refers to Rost) when you need a replacement mid-season I'd much rather go with an experienced player than just giving someone a chance to prove themselves on a whim.

Not a whim, but stick with the guys and give them a chance. Obviously they have to prove something on the training ground. Taking last year as an example, if Hans Backe didn't create GK drama when it wasn't necessary, we would probably not be in the position we are in now. Also, if you integrate the new guys with the veterans, the new guys have a better chance of succeeding.

Eh, I don't put as much stock as others around here do that the biggest reason our keepers struggled last year was because of the constant back and forth, and in reality we'd be in the exact same position we are right now because Backe did not rate either Bouna or Sutton highly at the start of last season.

“If we’re going to find a third one it has to be one with a little more experience,’’ said Backe.

The Red Bulls have also brought young keepers Ray Burse and Phil Tuttle in as trialists while in Arizona. Backe said both were scouted by goalkeeping coach Todd Hoffard.

er... but these two trialists aren't veterans?

Saying that, the club plans to bring in another American goalkeeper into training camp in Tucson, Ariz. in a few days, said Soler, who would not reveal his name.

"If that's for the first [string] or for the three to compete on an equal basis, it's hard to say at the moment, he said.
