How many times has Marsch made a 65th minute sub?

Edit: I just looked through every game to see how many times Marsch made a sub before the 70th minute and the reason for the sub.  In 31 regular season MLS games this season, he's made 37 substations before the 70'.  Nine of those have been because of injury, two have been defense for defense substitutions, five were to go with 5-in-the-back, and 19 were offense for offense substitutes.  In the last five games he's made three offense for offense subs before the 70'- Damari for Grella (64' 8/28 v NE), Royer for Muyl (66' 9/3 v Vancouver), and Grella for Royer (60' 9/18 v Toronto).

I don't know what it means, I was just curious and bored waiting for the debate to start.

Thanks for the stats. I think they kind of confirm the thought that Jesse keeps subs a bit late, especially considering our style of play. Even taking away the games with injuries, it's still less than 1 "early" offensive sub a game on average when we have 2 or 3 quality subs on the bench when healthy. Veron especially has been on the receiving end of a few <5-minute cameos in recent months.

He's been most successful as a forward here, but what about skill set makes you think he can't ply on the wing?  He's got speed, he takes guys on 1v1.  He gets lost out there because he doesn't get the touches and he always wants to drift inside and he doesn't press or track back as well as other wingers, but he does have the ability to play out.

I mean you pretty much outlined his problems as an outside mid in our system. If you don't press and track back you're not going to play.

Seems like Grella's problem lately too.  Veron is trying way too hard to score a goal for himself, and Grella just keeps trying to beat people with skill going into the box, and loses the ball.

If Grella can't pick up his earlier form I think he's the perfect player to come on late into a 2 forward setup. The whole league knows what he's going to try to do but he's harder to defend when he's in a situation of trying to break down just 1 defender and having outlets around him in every direction.

He can press and track back just not as well as Muyl.  But Muyl is also nowhere near the offensive player Veron is.  I guess I'm biased towards skilled players.  If I wanted to watch guys that run a lot I'd watch track & field.
