Or Tim Ream - usually very good to excellent but 1-2 gaffes per game

Thought we had momentum to tie with the goal and then the subs. Sunk by individual mistakes on top of goal of the month from Altidore .
Next

Comparing Murillo to Ream would be like comparing Vlad Suckbotka to Danny Briere.

Almost disappointed my power stayed on for this one as very frustrating game.

Wheres the Armas is at fault for not mentally preparing the D for a leaping backheel off the post and 2 mental mistakes by 2018 Best 11 fullbacks

:-)

Oh thats right they are at fault for not developing players to push them (weve tried but hasnt worked out the best- maybe we should stick to CB development) .

On the upside Barlow did not look bad not amazing but not bad good run to stay inside and finish. Few poor choices though but good look to cut cross back across the 18Ciman and Omar although not best 11 are smart CBs though early in partnership

Right call on RZA - think he should rest v Orlando but encouraging to see him put together 2 good games in a row ( excluding first half v NYC where no one was good)
Right. Call him n letting Davis rest and good to see CCJ start again and play well.

Loss still stinks though

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

We won one when maybe we didn't deserve to, and lost one when maybe we deserved a result.    Shit happens.

One the one hand, we finally saw a bunch of different guys willing to take shots from distance.    On the other hand, we have no one who seems able to actually make those shots when taken.

But this is next one we absolutely need to leave with 3 road points in our pocket, no excuses.

watched the replay - 3rd goal is on both Murillo and Robles.

Murillo clearly sees Robles coming for the ball and goes to shield Morgan.  Robles is out kinda far.  Although I've seen similar plays many times before with Murillo shielding.

Wonder what was being said (if anything).  In non pro games thats a ball that ends up in the stands for safety.

Credit to Morgan for recovering balance and his hustle.

Whats everyone else think?

My opinion only.....after the goal both Robles and Murillo were dead quiet and looked away. To me, that means no communication. If Robles was yelling for Murillo to lick it in the stands, he would have been chewing his ass out.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. Easy to blame Murillo for not kicking it away or shielding better (and he should have!), but Robles needs to be in charge of the situation one way or another and direct Murllo what to do.

Brunt of the blame falls on Robles, he needs to be the quarterback. Murrillo still at fault, but he's not the main culprit.

That play has to be on Robles. Murillo has his back to goal in a situation where the keeper comes and grabs it 9/10 times. Robles needs to be communicating that he's either coming out, or that Murillo needs to clear it ASAP.

DE7 looked good, he should get more minutes. 1st backup for Royer and rotated in on heavy game weeks/months.

Thought Kaku was good as well, very direct and created some decent chances.

Dyer reported on the pre-game that we are looking at signing a RW to play opposite Royer, used the words difference maker, so theres one thing weve been clamoring for if its true. Not sure one signing fixes this team, something seems off under Armas.

right now, I just want a rb who can play D.

Not asking for much. That would make a huge difference.

How many RBs currently in MLS, would you trade Murillo straight up for?

Whether it does or not, if asked, that's exactly what Robles would say.  Because Robles.
