Seems a bit harsh to me. Maybe they can get it reduced to one game?
The link has a video of the incident if you missed it previously.

that's a load of shit, watch the replay, Ugo gets the ball clean. The other dude (forget his name) got hurt because he landed wrong, and not as a result of contact with Ihemelu.

If Ugo tackled me like that, I'd punch him. That was wreckless. Getting all ball is not what determines a foul.

Ugo would kick your ass.

But if I may shift your attention for moment, if Ugo fought Godzilla - who would win?

Mia Hamm could kick my ass, but not before I punched her for a dirty tackle from behind.

:)+ I've seen less given for worse play than this. Camera angle did not do Ugo any favors. I missed this. Was a foul even called? From the video it looked like play continued after the "incident."

that is a MLS being pussies. A bit reckless. Maybe Yellow card. MAYBE Red. Not two game suspension. Bull Crap. Where's this put the D at?! Can Tyrone go 90?

BULLSHIT! That was cleaner than an unused piece of Brawny. It is if you get the ball thats a foul, unless you come from behind, which Ugo didnt. The guy faked his "injury" and even if he got hurt, its from being surprised that he got stripped and had already committed his step elsewhere. You can see his momentum carrying him to the wrong spot after he wanted to go the other way.

That was a terrible suspension. He didn't tacke his feet directly from behind. He slid his feet to the side of the ball holder. BS. But he's not on my team! :pint:

I love Ugo. Dirty play, though. Second leg was a perfect scissor move, and he should have a couple of games off to think about whether that's such a good idea. If an opposing player did that to one of our guys, we'd go bugfuck.

whats the difference between a red card adn a two game suspension.? The red your team goes down a guy and you miss the next game too. This way at least they didn't go a man.

It may have been overly aggressive, slightly dirty.....but, the only reason he got a suspension was because the other guy broke his leg and is out for the season. I dont think suspensions should be handed out this way. Ugo;s contact did not hurt the guy. The unfortunate way his leg stuck in the turf is what hurt him.

That said, best wishes for a full recovery for Mr. Mediate. Nobody deserves a season ending injury.

I don't see that injury on their website.
