Yea, MLS seems to make playoff changes the year after the new system would have benefitted us.

Maybe that means MLS is trying to help us win? Okay, the Red Bulls wouldve won if XYC. Lets change to that format starting next year. Next year: Red Bulls find new, oh so Metro, way to lose.

Agree very much on LAFC winning.  Philly winning just strengthens the argument that spending doesn't matter.
And for what it's worth, I think LAFC will win because of the money they've spent on the roster.

One game is not a referendum on the spending vs. homegrown philosophies. Both teams are thru to the final. If Philly prevails on penalties that means being cheap is the smart way to go?? I agree that I would favor LA because they have spent on DIFFERENCE MAKERS. Vela, Chiellini, Bale are players that can single handedly win it.

Good points about Austin
That is a lot of misses. need to be better in who you bring in.  Hopefully we can be better in this regard.
Offseason Priority

Ill write the same thing I wrote last year: theyve still got to work on their scouting network because so many of their imports have underdelivered. Rigoni, Valencia, Djitte, Dominguez, Rodney RedesJhohan RomanaTomas Pochettino (another DP!)... there are a lot of wild swings and gigantic misses in there. And its telling that, two years in, the vast majority of this teams good players are guys who theyve acquired from within the league (or, in Pereiras case, via the SuperDraft).

Philly is in the Final, while we finished 4th and got knocked out in the first round. Seems like a big gap but its not, especially in MLS. With a striker who scores 15 goals this season to Klimalas 5, all else remaining equal, we pick up a lot of dropped points and possibly win the East. The key difference between us and Philly is probably 75% of their player acquisitions paid off, whereas its 25% for us. Jorgy, Klimala, Fabio, Fletcher, and Manoel in his limited time, all underperformers. Its the scouting, which they are already beginning to address. Ill give Schneider and Hausl the benefit of the doubt this winter to find some strikers who can actually put the ball in the net.

The multiple early season choke jobs at home cost us a CCL spot. Absolutely sickening.

Not that we wouldnt flame out in the playoffs anyway, but Red Bull in CCL, regular season, that summer MLS-Liga MX tourney, and potentially the playoffs in one season? With this squad?

Philly is utilizing their steamroller tactics, not that I have any sympathy for NYC.
