I'm pretty sure I've said this for the last 3 offseasons. Such a weird organizational blind spot.
It was like the weird refusal to have CB depth between Miazga leaving and us signing Parker. Finally plugged that revolving door last season, and boom, best defense in the league. Would love to see what this team would look like with scoring threats on both wings.
I've been told multiple times by somebody that CCJ was a free and a screw up by his club in South America. That's coming second hand from Hamlett. Not sure whether to believe it or not, but there's that.
Not sure what the transfer fee is, but if America couldn't/wouldn't break their transfer fee record before, they probably aren't going to do it after dropping a couple million on a player who plays the exact same position 2 days before.
Miazga would be great for the memories, but not actually worth it. Taxi is fast enough to play crazy far forward already and Murillo does it too while still maintaining the best defense in the league probably in years.
Plus we'd have to deal with allocation BS. Whatever we'd have to give up for that plus his salary makes a really costly addition at a position we dont really need.
I have never held it against Miazga that he moved. It may have just been lip service, but I remember him saying Chelsea was his favorite EPL team growing up. Test yourself in Europe, make bank, play for your favorite team. Who's going to turn that down?
He had a falling out at one loan after killing it at Vitesse. He'll eventually get sold to some lower level team in a top league and will be fine.
Isn't MLS transfers repeatedly wrong and the only reason they are sourced is because no one covers MLS?
They're pretty trash. All they're doing with Kaku is following along with the people on RBNY twitter who are digging up Mexican/Argentine journalists. I wouldn't trust anything directly from that account, but in this case they're just repeating stuff that's already out there. Which with China is probably BS anyway.
