he reminds me of Efrain Alvarez of LAG.  Alvarez is younger but it took him 3 years to be more consistent and now in his 4th year seems to be contributing more.  Amaya needs to step it up be coached up, mentored and put his stamp on the game, being consistent and not just flashes.

He should be better in the 4231 or 352 but needs to be healthy fit and on it in practice.  I think he should have been the sub yesterday not Fabio.

Not sure how to get best out of him but hope he can develop.

Because his  5' 4" self would do a better job receiving those incessantly hopeless long balls over the top?

I actually forgot he has even on this team. Thelwell and Struber were both here when we paid 1 mil for him. Guy has barely even played. Idk who wanted him more, Thelwell or Struber, but it has to be said, complete failure of a purchase.

It expires after a certain number of transfer windows, I think 3?

I don't know what else you can do with Amaya by now other than call him a wash. He has zero trade value right now since his generation adidas contract is about to expire and he's nowhere near good enough to warrant a similar one.

Let him go to Charlotte for 50 k and a 3rd rounder

Dump him on Charlotte if they offer anything of value. They have GAM to burn.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Think he stays. We bought high and would have to sell (very) low now.

i dont see the point of selling Amaya yet either.  transfer is a sunk cost and we know while he wasnt as good as we hope he is playable domestic depth.  Hopefully he takes a good leap this offseason and takes Yearwood as an example of how to get out of the Struber doghouse.  For someone who is willing to press he has some good technical traits but after the first 3 games he just played so scared.  Needs to be decisive with his decisions and footwork

I dont want to bash the guy but he wasnt in RedBull shape when he arrived and seemed to get more round while keeping the bench warm.

He's only ever succeeded as a 6.    He apparently doesn't want to play there.    I don't see why anyone would pay us anything to take him off our hands, so its a matter of keeping him around as depth and practice field fodder, until we don't.
