Pass like him as a player thought he could have been good for USMNT more
we dont need a 31 yr old player when we have a USu23 player at RB

From what I've seen, Lichaj would be an upgrade over Duncan, at least for the next year or two.  Long term Duncan might be better.

Having said that, I'm not a fan of spending big money on outside backs in a salary capped league.  I'd rather spend the money on the center of the field or on wingers.  So even if there's a drop off from Duncan to Lichaj, I'd probably still go with Duncan.  Of course, that's assuming the club is going to spend the money on other positions, which with this club can't be assumed.

Lets bring all the stars back! What are Nielsen, Digao, Stolz and Ballouchy up to?

Well, Ballouchy's still local:  https://www.nycfc.co...assistant-coach

Cmon, Gabigol is a $30 million transfer. Not happening for any MLS team.

A couple of years ago, Milo on these boards was going on about how RBNY should get Cristian Pavon from Boca.  A lot of people, myself included, shouted him down, saying how it could never happen because the big Euro clubs were looking at Pavon and it would be a $30 million transfer.  Too rich for MLS.

A year or so later, Pavon goes to LA Galaxy on loan.

So, never say never.

I know most of the comments about Jorgensen on here are pretty damning, and I've never seen him play except for the couple of times he came on for the first team.  But last year he was 18 when he moved to a new country, on a new continent, and scored roughly one goal every two games (1 goal every 164 minutes, or something like that).  Those numbers aren't terrible.  Given his age and considering the circumstances, one can at least hope that he's going to be much improved this year.   The team's not exactly stacked at striker, so unless they sign a higher profile guy, he'll get a chance to get minutes.  Barlow's not a lock as the backup, White's not a lock as the # 1, and maybe Armas will use 2 strikers more often this year.

Forget about the transfer fee, that's water under the bridge.  Let's see what he can do on the field this year.

If you're going to get a keeper who's sitting the bench in Belgium, why not make a move for Horvath?  At least he's  American, and he might be happy to come here to play and get back into the national team picture.
