So far the team got SIGNIFICANTLY worse: lost three starters on a team that wasn't that great already: Sims, Murillo, Robles. There is time left, but this is not where I was hoping we would be at this point of time.

From Dylan Butler

According to transfermkt, they listed the fee as 775k

Very pleased that the team rec'd 750k GAM. Would be very useful going into next season, if "spent" wisely.

They dont really have a choice, right? AM has to be spent on the roster. Time to sign a TAM DM.

Murillo, a player who was supposedly lazy, bad, and prone to big mistakes for RBNY, has walked into the Anderlecht XI and played 90 minutes for each of the 5 matches since the transfer.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

When his brain was in the game, like most of 2018, he was probably the best right back in MLS. That's what made 2019 so sad.

This highlights incompetence of RB FO and also coaching. Yes, Murillo had a tough year, where he made some boneheaded mistakes, but still contributed a lot, and was the best RB on the team. Year before he was an all star and still very young. Played well for his NT team. Mistakes were correctable too and talent undeniable. So, what do we do? Trade the youngster away after one sub-par season. He immediately wins starting spot on a team way better than RB. Can't say I am surprised.

It's not as simple as one subpar season, apparently he became a huge problem in the locker room.

This wasn't just an off-year from a young player who needed a little more hands-on coaching though. This was a kid who desperately wanted out of MLS to play at a higher level, had felt that way for over 18 months, and had at least one opportunity to do so fall through. I don't think even Jesse could have kept his head on straight through 2019.

No. His subpar season was a result of him checking out. He checked out because he wanted to go to Europe and we didnt let him. Its a danger when you dont sell players that want to be somewhere else. We saw it with Kaku the first half of last season too. This highlights incompetence of RB FO and also coaching. He was done being a good player for us. Doesnt mean he was done being a good player.
Also, there was a lot of chatter about him being bad in the locker room.
