Can't wait for them to knock City out of the US open again.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

In other news Rocco Commisso, current owner of the Cosmos, bought Serie A club Fiorentina. Synergy?
What's the Cosmos? I don't think it's real. I know there is Cosmos B in the NPSL...

Wouldnt shock me to see him fold the Cosmos now. With the NASL disaster which he helped create, the team reaches out weekly via email to give free tickets for their NPSL matches. I don't think NPSL Pro is going to help that much.

Can there really be a Cosmos B if there's no Cosmos A?

Hence the ongoing dilemma of that abortion of a franchise.

To think, if the previous owners hadnt had such an overinflated opinion of their brand, they would have been MetroStars.

To think, if the previous owners hadnt had such an overinflated opinion of their brand, they would have been NYCFC. Now I think the hype around the Cosmos name is misjudged (who under 45 even remembers them?), however in MLS, selling their history, they could have really caused damage to Red Bull in the market, more so than NYCFC.
It's interesting to think about what could have been if the Cosmos Brand was purchased by MLS. Still, you gotta admire the guy for trying to stick it to the man and try to offer the soccer community an alternative to MLS.

At least he has a team that is in a league that isn't probably going to go out of business. Cheers to a better investment.

They are Cosmos B because that team existed in an amateur league and it allows them to play games even though they are obviously professionals (and it's no surprise they are killing everyone in that league). It's pretty much bullshit but it is what it is.

Guy in his 20s sitting in front of me at the Mets game today was wearing a Chinaglia Cosmos jersey!

Yes, because he bought it now at a Cosmos game. He only knows them because there is a current team using the brand and he maybe watched a documentary. Had they not been rebooted, he wouldve never heard of them or Giorgio Chinaglia. They have been defunct since 1984! Ask him if hes heard of Ricky Davis!Guy in his 20s sitting in front of me at the Mets game today was wearing a Chinaglia Cosmos jersey!

He only knows them because ...
In your prior post you opined that no one under 45 remembers the Cosmos!
You also blew it on the NYCFC reference, and
did not post a link to your OP.
