I would say it was 70/30 in RBNY's favor, but it is hard to tell because the blue ppl had nothing to cheer about. Also funny observation on those sections under the traveling support. Those morons in the upper deck were throwing crap and spitting on (mostly) their own fans.

Ugh blue idiots haven't changed. Happened to a group of friends I brought when I had 1st row seats in 218. Still haven't managed to bring my partner back to a game 5 years later. Will take some convincing to take our toddler next year.

It's interesting how opinions/experiences work because I wouldn't say it was even remotely close to half the people outside the SW wearing blue.

Some exaggeration.  I deliberately took a quick count in 128 and it was at least 1/3 poseurs.   Pissed me off until we started spanking them.  I assume outside the STH areas it would be higher, but maybe not.

OK.  Letter sent.  Non-renewal of my season's tickets.  Member since Giants Stadium days.  Transfer window open but not even smoke regarding a proven striker.  Hoping that I can change that decision if one miraculously appears prior to the auto renew date, but that does not appear to be in the cards.  The "system" will always field a competitive team but the fact that they cannot bring themselves to commit to a team with potential to win it all with a proven scorer is not something that I can continue to support.

Good for you. Frankly wish every STH did the same thing.

I renewed, the Barcelona game alone is a huge incentive to renew plus I haven't had any trouble selling my tickets when I can't go so it's really a no brainer for me.

I get the hit them where it hurts and show them blah blah stuff but I'll be cutting my nose off to spite my face and I'd be the one spending more money in the end.

If you like watching a competitive team play a style that will always have them in the playoffs - then that is the correct decision for you.  I am interested in following a team that wants to dominate and win MLS.  That will not happen without adding talent in areas that require it, especially when the league as a whole has improved its talent pool.   As it stands now RBNY is a competitive feeder club.  We all see it and know it.

You could have waited until after the Orlando game.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I dropped tickets too - Im done with giving this team my money. But, theyre not a feeder club. MLS is a selling league, ATL, LAFC, City have all sold on players and no one would say theyre feeder clubs. If you get young talent, theres always the chance theyll outgrow MLS. The issue with this team is theyre fine with being competitive and never get that extra player that puts the squad over.

I understand the business aspect of the league and don't think there's anything that can be done about that with the state of a growing soccer community in the US (who knows if it will ever approach the other major sports).  ATL, LAFC, City have all spent $ with proven players in an attempt to dominate.  RB need to step up now and not wait for Luquinhas and others to move on or out of the league.

No argument here. Still doesnt make them a feeder club, just a club that lacks ambition.

Sadly this

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
