With pressure eventually they will fold here as well. I bet they are trying to see if they can stop the bleeding this year and turn a profit. If not...

That's why I'm kinda hoping for a strike. I think a prolonged strike, while really hurting the players (unfortunately), is going to really, really hurt RB.

Last year, Red Bull nearly achieved the impossible with Mike Petke at the helm: They nearly got the fanbase on board with their project with this team. By summarily firing Petke, they torpedoed all the goodwill they had earned with their initiatives like "As Long As We're Breathing", "Metro Mondays", and parading past team members at the Eastern Conference Finals. Seriously, what a bunch of morons. There really isn't anything they can do to win back the fans at this point. They decided to burn the bridges.

Interesting, albeit awkwardly-written, article from Forbes from last year, with some new information about Red Bull's F1 finances: http://www.forbes.co...on-formula-one/

It seems as though Red Bull isn't/wasn't losing money from F1, and that's not even taking into account the virtual profits from free advertising. Although I still believe that a venture not succeeding in terms of both on-the-field competition and brand exposure does more to convince Red Bull to divest, it's noteworthy that their sporting operations as billboards aren't money bleeders as a given, which can become even more important if their finances continue to take more hits.

The question is at what point does Red Bull cut and run? They may decide that 10 years with nothing to show for it is a waste. I'm sure they didn't expect this identity crisis to still be a point of contention 10 years layer

The writing is in the wall. RB is going to be cheap from now on. A year or two max. Their scouting department is useless right now. no looks at Central or South America for talent is really dumbfounding.

The only connections we will have right now are second tier France and ex Montreal players. With a cupless season looming and STs impossible to sell now after biting the hand that fed them, they can kiss any success and momentum they carried these past few years.

They didn't think a year out, much less 10.

This upcoming season appears to already be a debacle. I guess it can't get much worse... or can it?

It seems Philly fans have signed up on metrofanatic to vote for themselves (in 'What team do you hate more?') . No real fan of this team would vote anything other than DC.

Have no fear - the dynamic duo of MdG & AC have an "October surprise" slated for next month to bring everyone back into the fold that will make buying off the SGs and allowing them to bring their toys to the game to gain their fealty pale in comparison.

You might as well have added the 2014 CCL debacle as well.

The Part 1 gives me the impression there will be a Part 2 about 2014 perhaps next Monday.
